@@James____EdwardJAMES PLEASE ANSWER I JUST GOT THE WORST HAIRCUT OF MY LIFE BECAUSE I USED YOUR TUTORIAL BUT HE DIDNT UNDERSTAND I WANTSD 4 INCHES TO KEEP ON THE TOP AND INSTEAD HE CUT IT AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!! SO IM ASKING YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST HAIR PERSON I KNOW 😭😭😭😭 PLEASE ANSWER
@@chungusito5279I can only agree in the sense that some hair dressers are Barbers. People that are just Hairdressers, When it comes to men, are just flat out horrible 😂
@@chungusito5279 If you want the crispiest taper of your life go to a barber, hairdresser won’t do it for you. If you want any other hairstyle go to a hairdresser a barber will fuck you up.
For me, I wear glasses and have to take them off when they're cutting my hair and usually put them back on after the haircut. Sometimes its good and other times it like "This is not the look I wanted but they already cut it so now I have to wear a hat."
Knowing what to ask for and explaining it well is half the battle.. Also a good tip is showing your hairdresser/barber a picture of what style you want.. everyone has google and a smart phone..
Too late, wish I saw this after I showed the man what haircut I wanted but he did I total different one and now I’m not feeling that bad about my hair after watching your shorts and vids I just subbed you really brought up my day.
I would largely agree with everything here apart from the barber vs hairdresser bit I think for when you have longer hair or aren't getting much done with clippers (as is the case for this guys haircut) then probably true but anytime your needing fades or have a style that's tight around the sides and back the more reps a barber vs a hair dresser makes a difference. Even with a super talented hair dresser if their giving a fade only a few times a month vs a barber multiple times a day I think you're better off with the barber
Barber here. The key is to not go to a BAD barbershop. And there are definitely more bad shops than good ones. A good barber could easily produce the same cut that James has in this video, but for longer hair even I'd recommend going to the hairdresser.
I got the exact haircut you showed in your first bad haircut pic, atleast when i stule it wet, i kinda look like i got bradd pitt's short spiky hair, but when it dries, i look like someone put a plate on my head and shaved the parts that aren't covered 😭😭 This about my last time i sit there in silence, im gonna pick my haircuts next time
If you are trying to get a clean fade, you go to a barber, if you have hair, you go to a stylist, unless you're trying to get a mean fade. Barbers are good at what they do and stylists are good at what they do... usually. Some can do both. And if you find an old Asian woman, that's the one, she can do anything.
Honestly I just learnt to do it myself, over about a year. Yeah it’s really scary because I’m not a professional barber but I know what I want to do with my hair and I just do it, plus it saves a lot of money, just a one time investment on some basic equipment and that’s it. And hey if you ever mess it up really bad you always just have the option of buzzing it all off 😂🤷
I was planning on going tommorow, im scared af last time they did so dirty and this time im getting a cut I’ve always wanted (a bit out of my comfort zone) but wish me luck as i have never not been done dirty by a barber
I just get my cut from my cousin and i just ask a taper fade but a little slash on the top if i feel the top is to long if not i just ask taper fade without the back and top getting cut so it looks like a blowout fade
The barber shop one is entirely wrong. Like he said, find someone good and stick with them, but don’t go to a barbershop that is CLEARLY for fades and get a scissors cut. Also I’d recommend this guy see a dermatologist, his pimple situation is crazy. What I think it is is that he sleeps on the side with the pimples and doesn’t wash his pillow case and bedding frequently enough since it’s mostly on one side.
In our area for guys, the barber does a whole lot better then a hair dresser. I've had so many bad experiences with hair dressers because none of them listened and ruined my hair. I was supposed to get a few highlights as a teen. They turned me blonde, I have red hair, and burned it.
Well Hairdressers are more experienced in cutting medium length hair to long hair while barbers are experienced with shorter hair 💈 But it’s Solely up to you where you want to go.
