I am brand new to this tumbler world and you..I have watched many of your videos and watch a few every night...but this one I had to say...omgeee...those huge bags of glitter!! ❤
Heather, thank you so much for sharing this tutorial! I absolutely LOVE opal! I was actually loving the tumbler with just the colorful, mottled paints that you applied, even before you added your gorgeous glitter, which I am going to have to buy - LOL! Once the glitter coat dries, would you next apply just an epoxy finish? And if so, how many coats of the epoxy would you recommend? Thanks again, Heather!
i love this, and ive seen so many of your videos, but haven't seen one done with a plastic bottle instead of stainless steel. can it be done the same way.
Hey there! So I'm making a tumbler for the first time EVER. I used some flaky glitter and have already sealed it with the clear sealer spray. It looks EXTREMELY chunky and flaky right now and I'm not sure how the epoxy will even lay if I apply it over this flaky glitter...I'm just wondering if I should even bother with the epoxy now or just start over on a new one?? HELP! =))
Can you send me a link for the epoxy you use with the pumps? I have tried to find it but there are so many options on their direct site it’s confusing to me. Thank you! Can’t wait to see Part 2!!
I am working on my first cup and I can't figure out why my glitter wont stick. I started with modge podge. Most came off. Then tried loctite. Not much better. Then I went for epoxy. Which moved all the glitter around. I was trying to do an ombre. Do you have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
do you sand your cups before you paint them ? everyone seems to be different and I really don't think I will like sanding the cup. Is it a must so you don't get fish eyes and other flaws?
Sherry Ebersole sanding gives the things on top something to stick to. If you don’t it will eventually separate from the cup. Try wet sanding it’s much better than dry sanding.
Have you ever had a customer not want your logo on the bottom of your cup or complain about having it? I'm so nervous about doing that in case I do all that work then they don't like the cup because of my logo on the bottom.

@@FeatherBearDesigns Do you prep the cup by sanding it with fine grit sandpaper and then wipe it down with the 100% acetone, just like after you sandedoff the glitter tips and before putting on the 2nd coat of epoxy? I'm sorry, I'm new to this project and I want to follow all the directions. I love the videos you have posted. They are very clear and easy to understand.

Pam Willems it really all depends on what method you do (epoxy method vs Mod podge method) and your base paint and glitter color... if I paint my tumblers the color of my glitter my glitter goes much further... you will use a lot less glitter with epoxy method be modpodge because with mod podge you need a minimum of 2 coats epoxy is almost always one coat and done! I can get about 6-8 cups done with 2 oz of glitter
