Having problems getting the hole to the proper size....... Lesson learned: Machining is fundamentally nothing more than an endless series of emotional struggles.
The San and Khoi people of South Africa could teach you a thing or 2. They would carve only one small hole, and using suction through a grass straw, like siphoning petrol from a tank, would force the egg out. They only made one hole because they would use the shells as water containers.
@@VivaFreiFamily much love. I guess I’ve watched your videos for a long time. I could tell he was a friend. I’m glad you could entertain the boys early. The daycare will be glad they are all riled up this morning. Yay, David and Marion, great video.
The presence of great flocks of these northern birds made them a common source of protein for the natives of the land. From them, the early French settlers adopted the practice. 😉
There are some restaurants in America that make giant omelets with them. Never underestimate a Texans need to have the biggest best everything, even eggs lol.
Now, you need to have ostrich steaks with ostrich egg for breakfast........yuuuummmmmm. The dentist drill sound while blowing the egg out was hilarious, made lips worth it...... 😂
Ok I am trying to keep proper notes for these innovative new cooking techniques. It's hammer and screwdriver for eggs, but a cheese grater for fish ?. I can't wait to see what you use to make a salad.
I read about a lady being killed using metal straws. I won't give much detail, but if you fall over, these things, they won't bend when you land. You can use your imagination.
Since you have the ostrich, I suggest you ask your veterinarian for one of the large syringes they use to give livestock vaccines. It's WAY easier to "blow" an egg out with one of those.
Don’t cut yourself this time! Now to watch and see if you do 🤪😂🤷♀️ Edit to add the machete was more exciting 🤷♀️ Another edit to 🤣😂🤣😂🤣. “Your RU-vid face” 🤣😂🤣😂
Just opened mine this way, worked perfectly. Had originally planned to make a hammer sized hole to get the egg out... so much better. I bought mine at ostrichland in solvang California, they're awesome. Call them and they can ship to you...I brought mine home in my luggage... won't allow on carry on
The binge watch continues... well as a former sax player i can say it doesnt cause heart problems... but now i think we both have learned it can cause lipstickitis lololol
I used to tend ostriches, not fun. The eggs I would drill a hole in the bottom and blow the inside out with an air compressor. Then we could give the hollow egg to the visitors
Great tip. The next time (which will be the first time) I have an ostrich egg, I will definitely do this. Only downside to watching: I will now get a crap-ton of food channel egg-related recommendations.
