The area on the right is where the print head sits and the reason why it was so inky is because the thin tape over the black ink nozzle was taken off by mistake.
So sorry only just seen this message as I have not being using this channel for awhile. I cleaned the reservoir with isopropyl alcohol and swabs. Sorry for such a late reply.
