Hi I’m sending you a message from Annapolis Maryland. I recently lost my husband in May and I have a large house and I’m by myself. So I’ve started to do a lot of things myself. Just from remembering how he did things. I HEART this woman. I was staring at the directions on a tube of sylicone caulk and realized I needed HELP. This video plus "How to Caulk a Bathtub with Silicone" told me everything I needed to know (and more than my husband knew). Super practical and easy to understand, gave me the confidence to do this job myself.

I never thought about it, but it makes sense that a do-it-yourselfer stay-at-home mom would know so much about caulk. Thanks for teaching me how to use my caulk better! Now to go finish up my car project!

This is VERY helpful! I saw it right before trying to cut the caulking tube by a scissor and applying it by hand pressure. Saved my day!

Thank you so much! I had to replace an old rusty floodlight and didn't want the new one to fare the same fate. Was able to snip open, use, and store the new caulk tube for later use ❤

Perfect !! I’ve never used a caulking gun but figured I could replace the garage door trim myself thinking “how hard can it be?” I absolutely loved your video! It was very informative but at the same time concise and to the point, unlike a lot of online videos. Thank you for the info.

Best video ever! I tried to cut with a knife or cutter, but it didn’t work. I didn’t expected to find a solution, my hands are week and I am a not very young woman. I didn’t want to cut my fingers,while the plastic bottle was resisting...Respect and thank you from france !

Very helpful video. I have always used a plastic bag over the tip to preserve the caulk but locked it in place with a rubber band. But the wire nut is a stroke of genius! Will use that from now on and also remember to write the date of last usage as well. Much tnx for those tips!

Thank You for a great video. I have watched other videos about caulking, but they don't show how to open and store a tube of caulk or how to use each part of the caulk gun. I am the son of a countryman who knew how to fix everything. However, born in the city, I never asked my dad can I do some of the maintenance around the house. After my late father passed away in 2013, I had to learn how to do maintenance around my mother's house through trial and error (lots of errors).
