We were trying to jump the Sienna. Keys ended up inside and the thing automatically locked! (Don't leave your keys in an older Sienna!) Only keys we have. Could not afford a locksmith. No app to unlock, too old.
Tried a variety of coat hanger things - no luck.
With the battery dead pushing any buttons or locks did nothing.
Saw video about using window shim from Home Depot and a 1/4 inch aluminum bar. However, the suggestion was to pull the lock mechanism on the front door while pulling the door handle from the outside. Again, with a dead battery nothing happened.
In our case, the keys were left on the seat. So of course we tried to push the unlock buttons to no avail.
Eventually we figured we would just try to pull the keys up. As I pulled them up against the door the power fab fell off from the key chain and the manual key fell to the seat. Used the hook to pick it up and Escape Room solved!!
