How to open tailgate glass on BMW E61 (with broken button, no power) 

Thank you so much for posting this. I have an E46 tailgate that I am replacing with a salvaged one and the glass was locked. Thanks to you I was able to open it to strip the trim and wiring harness out.

Just used this to fix my e91. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make this, it is much appreciated.

Thanks very much. This works well. I got the fine Allen key into the hole and no pushing would release it but a sharp tap on the end of the bamboo cane I used popped it open. The cassette person who says it’s impossible is wrong. You undo as many screws as possible and hold down the trimabout4-5 inches. Then a really bright light is all that’s needed. Great video. Thanks. Is there a latch mechanism to open the entire tailgate if I have no power? Dead battery...

and how to remove that tailgate trim panel at first?

Hello, I bought a 2006 model wagon today. The trunk does not open. The engine runs but the left side does not close. There is a range. The right side is closing. It will take water in rainy weather. How can I solve this problem? Need a new engine? Could the right and left trunk shock absorbers of the car be different?
