Thank you Peter Finn, with your methods I could loosen nuts. was struggling with 1 tight nut for 2 days, then I found your video and I successfully removed the tight (slippery) nut. I used WD-40 and long rod (steel pipe) as you suggested and you made my day. Thanks and keep posting such Tricks videos about cars.
To protect your back is better to push on the rod rather than to pull the rod. Pulling the rod puts great amount of pressure on your back especially when working on stuck bolts/nuts.
Wrong, it's about leverage, and you get more leverage pulling up than pushing down. If you are hurting your back you are not in an ergomicallly correct position and you are straining your back, not related to pull or push
@@boomshakalaka2275 leverage is the same regarding of direction, of course I have more force than my weight and I can put on a greater force by pulling rather than pushing but is about working smarter not harder. On how many occasions you had the correct position for your back when working on a vehicle on the driveway? or when getting stuck on some off road expedition?
Amazing... This trick worked for me, thanks... By mistake i over tighten the strut bolt which linked to the wheel hub, on the first try the wrench rod was also bent. Extension rod broken, But I finally opened it to use a big pipe to both side 😅
Great hints Peter! Please make a new video with hints, for the situation in which you remove all the nuts, but the alloy wheel is still stuck to the steel wheel hub! Also, the person that said that "if I have a long enough bar I can move the earth" is the Greek engineer Archimedes!
