Hello Farmer E, couple hours ago I clicked on your broken bugout video, and here I sit several hours later, still watching your videos! Your video talking about what pocket you carry your knife in was great, the part about having knife in front pocket makes it just a little less distance in a knife duel, had me crackin’ up. I subscribed, and look forward to more of your subtle humor in future videos. I specifically buy clothing with multiple pockets just so I can carry an unreasonable amount of pocket knives with me at all times, mostly so I can fidget with different styles of knives at a moment’s notice. It also serves me well if one of them malfunctions or gets below my “hair whittling” high standards of sharpness. Also, I admire your level of care & respect you have for the animals that you are raising . Good luck and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Lmao!! I luv this channel man! I found you, I guess because I’m into knives and the RU-vid algorithms sent you my way. But I stayed for the comedy and most of all the drone shots, they are very cinematic. I’m a drone enthusiast as well. Are you still flying the Mavic 2 pro? I’m thinking about getting one soon to add to my arsenal... Did you ever fix your old tractor? I changed the clutch once on a kabota, man, so many bolts! lol... I had to break the entire tractor down, it was completely broken down into two halves, and then some. Keep up the drone shots, they are so great!

Hey, thank you! Yeah, still have the pro2. It´s a wonder, though, it´s been crashed too many times. The new Air2 is supposed to be great, and is cheaper as well, i think? I´m trying to fix the old tractor these days. Don´t know if it´ll work yet, we´ll see!

Farmer E I have confidence that you will get the old tractor to work again. I’ve had a few tractors and even a couple tractor trailers at one point bc I use to haul dirt and gravel for myself, as well as debris after the hurricanes. And so I had to work on equipment constantly. Anything that size that moves that much weight around is sure to break eventually. But one thing that I learned was that all this was pretty straight forward and not crazy complicated to fix just as long as I had the right tools to do it with. And having the right tools usually meant having the same types of tools that I used to work on my pick up truck only Bigger! Lol. Another thing that became of great value to me was knowing to never let anyone operate my equipment if they had the tendency to “ride the clutch”! As you probably already know is leaving your foot on the clutch peddle while the machine is in motion. Truly, this is the only reason I’ve ever had a clutch go bad... I’m still kind of on the fence with the Mavic air... I’m a stickler for image quality as I currently fly a P4P, so I don’t really want to downgrade by very much if possible, but I would like to have something compact and foldable to take with me boating, hiking etc.

Farmer E Cool. All that I can tell people when I see them having a difficult time stopping from riding the clutch is to drop it down into a lower gear. Or, change your own clutch just once, that will definitely stop you from riding it! Lol... Good luck.

Really appreciate the work that went in to this video. Great sense of humor. And you did it! If you want what I find is the easiest flickable knife, try the Civivi shredder. It's the only knife I can flick with all five fingers.

I’ve carried an Endura every day for many years. Love the full flat grind and blade length. Sage green. Stainless liners. It’s a very solid, robust knife. Won’t buy a different one unless this one breaks or is lost.

The trick to the spydieflick is to move the middlefinger more up than out, also you'll have an urge to get more finger in there for more power but all you need is maybe a 1/4 of your nail resting inside the hole, and yeah one swift more up than out motion and it's there, the main holding point should be the indexfinger and thumb I usually use my ring and pinky to push the other end of the knife into my palm for more stability. Although I have smaller hands like the Para 3 is just right maybe a little too big, a Manix 2 or PM 2 or Shaman is a little big for me, and a Benchmade Mini-Bugout is a little small for me, like I fear I'm gonna cut my fingertips off fidgeting with that Mini-Bugout... Also once you have the muscle memory to spydieflick with a thumb hole, give you're self some time to practice and you'll find you can middle finger flick a thumb stud.

I grab the hole, picking up the knife with my thumb and index finger, and flick my wrist. Works every time and puts the handle right back in my hand for a great grip.

HAHA I LOVE your content. so fun to watch. you have a great mind for putting videos together. Definitely a rare talent. SpydieFlick is my favorite way to open my spydercos hands down. its just more fun lol. I would say the thumb flick is more reliable though, but DAMNNN now I want to spydieFlick my knife but cant bc im carrying a spyderco Native today with LC200n blade. (this steel is AMAZING, look it up if you can, its the worlds most "stain resistant" steel out there) but its a lockback and almost impossible to spydieflick :(

@@FarmerE Easier..........? I wouldnt say that, for me it takes a few extra miliseconds to get my hand setup for a spydieflick, and even then it only opens first try maybe 75% vs 98% with thumb flick. BUUUTTT it just adds that extra fun aspect which us knife lovers love

The old Gerber Parabellum was much much better. The knife was weighted to the front by a heavy and large blade. With little practice you could open it with a flick and not even touch the blade. It had a double guard for safety a bolt action lock so you could close it without touching the blade and best of all it converted to a fixed blade by locking it open and converting the dual purpose sheath to fixed blade. It had a military double clip to attach it to web gear. Wish I had not sold it. Rare and expensive today.

Here is the secret to using a finger to open a spyderco. You are trying to push the blade out with your finger, like you are flicking it away from the body of the knife. What you want to be doing is flipping it upwards, like if you are holding the knife straight up and down imagine you are trying to flick the blade straight up!

Spydie flick all comes down to hand placement I'm a left and I learned to flick with my right hand first then my left. You can Spydie flick a stud and that is when you know ya got it.

One handed opening is illegal! Better is to convert it to a fixed blade which always stays open. Then it's legal again.

Nicely done! Personally I hate the flick, I am a slow and steady guy and open with my thumb swinging it out all the way without any flick. I want to know that when I open it it stays open. With a flick there is always the chance of a mistake. Your question of how to open the knife when in danger of being trampled to death - it would be with my thumb and with no flick, but a proper swing open under full control and a guaranteed complete open. Excellent Video!
