Today we're upleveling and transforming an everyday fridge. (Say goodbye to forgotten leftovers and overstuffed drawers!)
With the help of of our amazing friends at iDesign, we're giving this fridge some much needed organization and using products to create a long-lasting system.

iDesign, great job at partnering with these ladies, thanks to their awesome videos, I got interested in your products and just bought 3 sets of canisters for my pantry and fridge... I'll see how I do with those... hadn't been for these lovely ladies, I would not have heard of your brand before. BTW, I am in Mexico.

I clean my fridge out every 2 weeks when I restock groceries. I love wiping everything out and starting fresh. I too have zones as it helps with organization, but also helps others in the house know where to get stuff ie leftovers!! I like that you didn't use the door for what people typically use the door for and used the lazy susan instead. Great idea. This family has no milk or alternative kinds of milk that need a home? That's the only thing I noticed that I thought was missing in their fridge. Well done!! This was so enjoyable to watch!! Also, we bought a new fridge, it was needed, a couple of years ago and got the pull-out freezer on the bottom. I will never go back to the standard style of fridge. :)

How would you organize a fridge when there's 4 roommates sharing it and trying to keep groceries seperate

Hi Josie! You can separate by shelf, or by using bins labeled to each person's name, designating their items. Labeling individual products as well (condiments/jars) may help if there's shared shelves.

Containers as big as possible for each person on shelves or section off by 4. Remove excess shelves. Section off the door space & place 4 containers inside the vegetable baskets, 2 in each, or get rid of them altogether & just use 4 bins. Label everything or use colour coded dots to stick on bags. Quick & easy way it to use masking tape & a sharpie. If there is space you may consider a second fridge. Agree a fridge tidy/cleaning day once a week so things don’t get forgotten. Don’t forget a tray / container for donated foods that anyone can use.

I love the videos about the organized fridges with their round condiment squeeze bottles that I'm obsessed with. I love my favorite kind of bottles so very much. Using my round bottles is better than using the labeled, different-shaped bottles because if anyone uses his/her round bottles, then they can possibly save some space. My "16-oz." OXO bottles separately have mustard, ketchup, honey barbecue sauce and pancake syrup in my kitchen's cabinet. I love to play with my 20 other empty "12-to-16-oz." "Farberware, OXO & Tablecraft" bottles so I can hold, stack and squeeze 'em on my office desk in my bedroom. I always beat the expiration dates. When my 4 OXO bottles are low in my favorite condiments, I separately squeeze 'em into my correct, labeled, different-shaped bottles. I wash my OXO bottles. I separately refill 'em toward the bottlenecks. "Squeeze" is my favorite word. I'd wanna get my larger ("24-to-32-oz.") bottles so I could play with 'em. ☺💗☺💗☺💗

@@PracticallyPerfect I love the squeezable pancake artwork videos because of my obsession with the round condiment squeeze bottles. I'd wanna get many of my "16-oz." OXO bottles and my cooking griddle for my squeezable pancake artwork task. I'd wanna separately fill up my bottles with colorful pancake batters. I'd wanna turn on my griddle and squeeze the batters on it by outlining, drawing and coloring the characters. I'd wanna squeeze pancake syrup on my already cooked pancakes. ☺💗☺💗

I love watching these types of videos! I feel that I need to maintain my fridge organized in order to keep "order" BUT I will admit that sometimes I can slack off and its a hot mess if I don't keep tabs on it when my kids put stuff back in lol videos as this one always gives me ideas of how to spruce up my organization or just find neat ways to use or arrange what I already have! so to answer your questions... weirdest item in fridge? hmmm I'd say it was a depository for my little girl when she was sick years ago.. it was an awkward find for some who saw it lol I never used it on her but it was suppose to be left in the fridge and then forgotten about... again, because she never used it lol.. the grossest would always be rotten veggies that where hoarded and pushed way back in the veggie bin smh its so gross when you put your hand in to grab something and you come out with mush..blehh.. lol

Yes, thank you for pointing that out - we definitely recommend removing the shelving and washing with soap and water when you do a fridge deep clean!

You are not alone. Weekly wipe down, monthly washing in tub. Although, if I did not have the handheld shower, I’d likely just do really soapy washes in the fridge.

I put one shelf almost nightly in my dishwasher. By the time the week has passed the fridge is clean and I really didn’t do much.

This is fantastic! Will you please do a video for a freezer in this style? We have a fridge exactly like this one and most videos only show tips for newer side by side or freezer on the bottom appliances.

I store my roll on deodorant in the fridge. Especially in the summer, it's amazing. I heard about this through a joke Bert Kreischer did. I tried it for a laugh and actually end up loving it. Lol. Love the video keep up the good work. 😁

any suggestions for sharing a fridge with roommates? we have 3 roommates and 3 shelves so we currently separate by shelf but that leaves two drawers and the door as wasted space!

Hi Rebecca - this is a great question! You can add dividers to your drawers, if it's preferable to create separate drawer space. And labeling may help you use the shared door space!

You stick old fashioned camera film in the fridge to keep it working properly. Heat alters the chemical structure of film, ultimately ruining pictures.

Now if you can only help me " PRACTICALLY PERFECT " my hubby to listen to me once I have the fridge practically perfect and in order that would be wonderful LOL ( joke ) My fridge would be very close if not the same size. And often wanted to get a lazy Suzy turntable or what ever we want to call them for my condiments but never knew what size to get know I have more of an idea on that. one. Thank you

Oh yes... we've experienced some sad leftovers that snuck into the back of the fridge as well. Hopefully we can minimize that as much as possible!

The beverages are all in bottles. Don’t most people have pitchers of ice tea, or lemonade, or Koolade in their fridge? I live in a hot area, I keep both unbleached flour and whole wheat flour in the fridge, otherwise I’d be fighting pantry moths all summer. You didn’t show anything in large containers like pitchers or canisters. Not sure how helpful this would,be for most people.
