Another excellent video! I would be so lost without your channel! Seriously! I have organized all of my mermaid gear and tail making supplies using systems you have shown on your channel. There are so many mermaids out there who have a hard time keeping things organized (we can accumulate a lot of stuff haha) and I always refer people to your channel. I lived in absolute chaos before finding you a few years ago and this weekend, my husband and I redid our entire office and used a bunch of your organizing tips. I really like your video. I just watch this one 9-25-2020. They are so short and precise and to the point. The one's you do now are so elaborate. I like both you are always a ray of sunshine. I put them together. The containers and all the tops on top together.

Great tips, I really need to organize my storage containers, my drawer is driving me crazy!! A tip I've used for left over lids when our daughters were little and they loved popsicles, I would make a slit in the lid and any drips would stay inside the lid and prevent sticky messes on the carpet and on them for the most part.

I will be upgrading to glass soon...and I've also purchased Rubbermaid LunchBlox sets during the back to school sales. They snap together. And I'm marching right up and removing those sandwich baggies from the box. What a good idea! I think the key to all those Ziplock, Betty Crocker and Dollar Tree plastic containers is to only purchase one brand. I use a lot of the two cup bowls and I found i had two different sets with red tops....that, of course, didn't fit each other. I went through, sorted and pitched. When they get ratty looking, pitch and buy new from the same brand.....then finally switch to glass. :)

And one more thing.....The husband takes veggies and dip to lunch every day. I hate cleaning those little containers.....then I spotted disposable ones in with paper goods at the grocery store. Small price, a lot less irritation.

I keep a lot of Tupperware as I take meals to my 93 year old mother who still lives in her home. However, I took my large, infrequently used pieces and put them on a shelf in the basement so it frees up space in the cupboard for the daily use items. I try to buy square or rectangle pieces, since round pieces do not seem to be an efficient use of the space. Thanks for all your great tips! --Anne

My favorite storage purchase was a case of wide-mouth canning jars from Walmart with a box of reusable plastic screw-on lids. I use them to store a variety of things, and even as drinking glasses!

Switched over to 10 Pyrex bowls and 6 each of 2 sizes of Mason jars. Best thing I ever did. Glass is easier to clean and never damaged by hot food. Only keep enough plastic for 2days of lunches for my children's & hubby.

I used to use an old countertop dish draining rack, it was perfect as I could stand the lids up in the plate 'slots' and then stack the containers in the open space of the rack! You can find these at the dollar store or virtually any home goods store.

In my house, we numbered and labeled all of the containers and corresponding lids, then used a labeled Ziploc bag to contain all of the lids.

I switched almost all of my tupperware to glass last year and was SO happy I did. I have a couple of plastic for my husband's lunches BUT glass cleans so well and don't warp or anything. Pyrex is great you can get a good pack at Costco or Sams or even Amazon!

Yes I love these ideas! I upgraded our containers to glass and even though they make my boyfriends lunch bag a little more heavy they are so worth it! I got the Anchor glass containers from Walmart only spent $20 and they come in different sizes such a good investment!

be sure to measure your cabinet door openings and space inside. too deep and too wide are often hang ups when you're trying to get organized. I know.

Ikea has some great inexpensive glass options. I also have the small round ones from the Dollar Tree. I like the idea of removing the baggies from the box. You've helped me so much with your ideas. My house is much more organized. Thanks, Kathryn!

I have a vintage metal bread box with drawers at the top for cofee, sugar, tea, etc. I use the drawers for various sized ziploc bags and straws. It's great to access them and it looks really cool.

Have you seen the new containers they have out this week? Larger acrylic like containers, corner stands for cabinets, risers, lid holders, vanity organizers, pull out fridge bins and my favorite turn tables! All of them are white or clear! Thought of you!

Great timing! My husband and I just overhauled our container system. It's amazing how we end up with five lids that fit nothing! For the little lunch containers, I actually store them in a big jar on the counter - the same as I store sugar or flour. So far, it's working for us!

i started storing my lids in a dish drainer because it has the slots and it works soooo well. i'm sure i learned that from you! i didn't know dollar tree had glass containers, now i have to go look. i prefer glass too. it's important to organize these things, like you said. it will drive you nuts if you don't and yeah.. they do multiply like rabbits!

Great video. I did decal utter my plastic food containers about a year ago and got rid of about half of them. I am still struggling with the lids so I will try to separate them. Great tip on glass containers.

Helpful. I certainly need to declutter mine - when we have a takeaway I always keep the containers as they will "come in handy". Trouble is, I probably have about 30 of them now, and they keep falling out when I open the cupboard, lol! xx

Okay so this inspired me redo my whole lower cupboards today. I got rid of prob half of my Tupperware and traded the ones(I have plastic ones for sandwiches and salads) that are for left overs that need reheated to glass. sooo much better!!

My tupperware cabinet is a CONSTANT struggle! I've whittled it down a lot but I think you're right; we could get rid of more. I'm going to start the switch over to glass too!

Thanks for a bother great video. I've been slowly changing to glass as well. Keep some plastic ones more for "sharing"; often sending food w/ friends and family. We've also invested in some of the reusable zip bags for snacks. Mostly the kids use them.
