@@Cu7rly_Fri3z omg cool! My school trips are so boring 🙄 I’m going there in July with my best friend and I can not explain how excited I am! I hope you had a good time
I went to thorpe park last year, never been on a roller coaster that went upside down before. Swarm was the first one I went on, and I loved it. As someone who never believed people when they said it was fine, I completely understand why you may not want to go on it when people ask you too. So, my best advice is, go when you feel like you are ready. I told myself I was ready beforehand and went on all of them by the end of the day. don't force yourself To go on it if you don't feel ready, and go at your own pace!
@@BigBrainLeeB also samurai wasn't intence at all only a little bit of butterfly in stomach for a few seconds flips but yh it was fun but not scary at all. Unless its just me lol
I'd say start by going on the biggest rides first, that is how I got over my fear of mine. Go on the scariest rides first, everything after that is a piece of cake compared to the first ones you have been on.
Thanks bro i shoulda watched this two days ago the first ride I went on was rush 😭 then vortex 😭 Then stealth 😭 needed to go pop before I got on saw after I didn't then lastly detonator I would want to go again without the need to go toilet
I remeber going on saw, swarm , nemesis inferno and stealth with my friends, it was year 6 at the time and I remember in swarm my friend was so excited he said he was about to swear lol
I’m terrified of rides. I went to Thorpe park with my school once. Despite my fear I decided to go on rush as my first ride of the day.. I actually ended up enjoying it but I recommend warming up if you have a fear like me 😭
Hello There, a really helpful and useful technique, I totally agree it's all about starting small and then progressing from there to the larger attractions, thank you for sharing this, it's much appreciated. Cheers Peter :-)
Thank you for saying this- I just went to Hershey park yesterday and I wanted to work my way up roller coasters but my friend kept pushing me to do the more intense ones, I felt even more nervous and ended up only doing 1 roller coaster. So 100% work your way up, it can help so much.
Tbf some people are afraid of heights more than being upside down, if you don't mind inversions smiler isn't scary at all and you'd properly be more afraid to go on oblivion
I got Thorpe park all the time but for some reason I had never been on saw and went on it last year for the first time. Definitely the most thrilling ride
I would do one or two smaller ones, like the walking dead to get used to the feeling on a coaster and then go for stealth. After that you’ve been on the biggest one so the others will be more enjoyable. I also really recommend saw it’s so fun
I was petrified of coasters for years. I went on a school trip and couldn't bring myself to do any of them when I got home. I felt awful and and I vouched that I would go back the next year with my Mum (who was also scared of coasters) When i got in, I dragged (not physically) my mum to swarm, and since then, we've both been absolutely fine on everything. The moral of the story of you is that you are scared of the big rides and go on them first with someone else who is scared of them and I guarantee at the end yiu won't want to stop and you will have the bug for life
Here are the rides you mentioned that I've been on: - The Walking Dead: The Ride (albeit only when it was X: No Way Out) - Flying Fish - Tidal Wave (don't forget your raincoat!) - Nemesis Inferno - Colossus (the very first roller coaster I went on that actually goes upside down) - The Swarm - Quantum (the very first ride at Thorpe Park I ever went on) - Rush - Stealth - Saw: The Ride (I don't think Grandma would like that) - Samurai There's no excuse for me not to go on the really big rides. I was in the CCF (RAF section) while at school, and did Air Experience Flying. This included aerobatics, so I'm used to G forces and going upside down.
To be honest Id actually go with Nemesis Inferno first. Its not quite as extreme as Saw, Stealth or even Swarm in terms of inversions, speed and height, but it pushes you out of your comfort zone whilst not being too long of a ride or being that uncomfortable. For all its flaws it is a solid starter coaster.
I went to thrope park just a few days ago... Went on every single ride and it was awesome (only 11 years old) ... Except for the saw... Your head gets bashed a lot in it. My favourite ride was the swarm and it is not that scary to he honest... Once you go on it once u don't want to stop loll Disclaimer: You will get ABSOLUTELY SOAKED on the tidal wave ride so.... Andd it's cold water 😭😭 I was lucky enough to be staying for 2 days so I went to my cabin to dry off! Ps: this is all my opinion so take what you want from it but either way there is something for everyone there and I hope you really do have fun if you go to thrope park
I’m the same age aswell lol 😂 I’m going on stealth today for the first big coaster here, would u say once I do that I will be able to do the rest easier?
Omg I went to Thorpe park and went on all of them :)) but the first ride I went one was colossus but I do not recommend that as a first one but still it was amazing 🤩
Here's the best way, nemesis is the best to go on first. Then swarm. And collossus. And on saw, you can lock your seatbelt to the point you can't move, I did that and had the hands way up lol. But for stealth if you're small.and skinny, it will hurt.
What I done is if it’s the inversions you don’t like them go to Chessington WOA and do Mandrill Mayhem since it has one inversion and not too intense and it lets you know what it feels like then go to Thorpe park if you get there early right when the park opens, run to swarm and then go to Nemesis, then Colossus, then Saw, and then get fast tracks for Stealth and for the end of the day, Tidal Wave You can go on the other Rides like Rush,Vortex,Zodiac etc while you’re having a little break or just don’t wanna queue for ages 👍 That’s what I done to get over my rollercoaster fear 👌
First ride I went in was Oblivion when I was 10 years old. I was very slightly shorter than the required height so wore shoes that added a couple inches 🤣
I went back in July and I had never been on a big rollercoaster before as I was only 11 at the time and the first ride I went on was swarm. So just do what I did go on the big ones first
I overcame my fear by just going on a scary roller coaster with my sister I was like craping my pants in the queue but I didn’t say anything and then after the ride I was completely fine 😂😂
Once I got over my fear of rollercoasters I got a fear of fair rides. Yeah rollercoasters look scary but they have dedicated teams of highly trained people to run them. Fairs have a drunk with a wrench
How I overcame my fear: my dad told me to “just go on rip ride rock it! I promise you’ll love it” It was one of the biggest rides at universal! I went on it and the rest of the big rides were a breeze and I love coasters now
This was the opposite for me recently I went tk Thorpe Park for a school trip and the first ride they made us go on was rush and then stealth 😂😂😂😂I think it was good thought because after that I wasn't scared of any of the others 😂😂😂
Just go on one or two easy rides to build up trust in restraints and whatever, then send it for something intimidating. Worked for me and works with everyone else I try with lol
I've been on a slightly bigger model of stealth and it looks like a kids ride ITS NOT!!! Those things are terrifying. If you want a good scare I would recommend a lot!
