You can't read minds but you can pick up social cues. I can't imagine things going well. I tried imaging myself giving a talk and at the end I realized the person I was viewing giving this talk was not me.

@@SelfHelpforLife You’re welcome! My husband died suddenly 5 months ago and as a result I am experiencing crippling social anxiety due to trauma and the sudden upheaval of my life with two little kids. I cannot express how grateful I am for people like you that want to help others.

Thank you so much for all what you present, it is really helpful and the way the information is presented is pleasant and beneficial at the same time. Would you please speak about guilt. I suffer from a tortorous feeling of guilt and I want to get rid of that especially when it is the symptom of codependency which is my case. I am looking for practical tips to get rid of guilt and I would appreciate if you tackle this topic

About the example regarding imagination, an apresentation going well, we imagine in our minds eye or seeing ourselves performing?
@SelfHelpforLife
@SelfHelpforLife 3 года назад
It depends! I would start by seeing a movie of yourself presenting. If that feels good, then jump in and see it as if you're actually there. Seeing it in your minds eye will bring in more emotions. If they are positive emotions, then that's great. If any negative ones come up, then switch to watching yourself presenting in a movie for a few days and then try in your minds eye again. Hope this helps. Paul
