Love the channel with the information I redid M90 diesel injector pump piece of cake with your video since then I had something horribly go wrong with the clutch not sure but it looks like I had a lathe running metal shavings as soon as I opened up the inspection plate I couldn't find a video and what I might be looking at it's a multi power clutch setup

Well Lance, this'll give you a giggle. First time I'd done a clutch, late teens I think. Anyway only a bottle jack in the yard, might? have been 100E Ford, can't remember. Anyway struggled on my own the get the box off, fitted the clutch and off we went NOT. No clutch, yeah I'd only put it in wrong way round. Not a lot of difference in the boss, just enough to hold it off. Now remember I'd driven the car on the rivets until it wouldn't move. Anyway, struggled to take it all to bits, fit it the right way round. Lesson learned. Never made that mistake again lol.

In part 2 you say to sand blast the working face. Mine has hot spots on it and I believe because the fingers were miss-set from the rebuilder so the one set at 44mm set down first. I was planning on chucking it up in my lathe and facing off the surface. I can't feel any highs or lows. This is actually on a 1941 Plymouth clutch. It looks identical to your clutch. The machining looks like an Asian imported disc brake rotor, heavy grooving. My fingers are set at 44mm, 45.25mm & 46mm. Opinion?

Good day Lance question does sparex make a spring clutch disc for tea20's with the 5 or 6 springs around the hub. I like those types for a lot of stop and go if a loader on tractor?

Hi again from Canada Lance, your videos are fantastic! Today I'm replacing the captive PTO disc on my MF35. - each of the 3 release finger pivot pins are held in place by a small roll pin driven into a hole in the cast cover. To get the lever pivot pins out do I drill these little roll pins out or shear them off by driving on the other end of the pivot pin? Thanks again, your videos have given me the confidence to tackle several projects...

in the video you mentioned burning the clutch when you have grease or oil on it by running in high gear. Can you provide more details on how to do that?

Hi i have a problem as i tighten up the bolts in the pressure plate it pulls the forks in away from the release bearing

Once you have a throw out bearing you re used lock up and take the fingers off your new pressure plate you no longer will put old bearings back in when you do the job. :-) Every clutch job I do gets new bearings and trans and engine oil seals while I am there I hate having to go back and do a job over.

How do you put the tractor back together once you've done you're magic on the clutch? I've aligned the friction plate but I just can't get the output shaft to go into position. Do I have to take off the steering column to be able to see when the shaft and the hole in the clutch are aligned? So far I've just tried to align the pins and the holes of the body and shaking and wigling the heck out of the thing. I tried to remove the ignition switch and look through the hole but it's pitch black in there; can't see a thing.

HI Bundy, my clutch works fine when engaged but it is sticky/slow when releasing the pedal to engage the clutch, this eases up with use but not totally free, it is worse during winter with less use. is there something that can be freed up? I'm not sure whether its simply the pedal or springs that provide pressure against engagement that are sticky.

To 20 purrs without the governor hooked up but once the governor is connected surges and eventually dies. We replace the umbrella governor however there is adjustment on the timing cover the bolt has been cut off flush with the nut…..So I thought try to find another timing cover for adjustment

Hey Lance. Love your videos! I have a TEA-20 and it has a dangerous problem. At times it will not engage a gear, although first gear usually goes in. I make sure to have it at low revs when changing gears. When this occurs, I can some times get it into gear by revving the engine, and letting it rev down again. The dangerous thing, though, is that it will not always disengage when I press down the pedal, and I am unable to get the gear stick out of gear. I have adjusted the free play on the clutch pedal to the 3/8" stated in the manual. Prior to adjusting, it was a bit more - probably 20 mm or so. Do you have any ideas what could be the issue, and how I should proceed? I don't have any trolley stands, so I am not sure if it is a good idea trying to split it.
