How to override easily in 10 sec speed limit of electric bike pedal assist(cube with bosh engine) 

Works like a charm on my Apache Silent 350w rear hub drive. Yes you lose the speedometer, but you can easily get a separate speedo for the bike, for under $15. I'll have to see how much help it is up the hills, but even on flats only, it'll let me keep up with city traffic while delivering. I was all ready to invest in a 1000w motor, this hack might make the 350w cut it, for a while longer. Ofc I expect the battery drain will go up, since you're always assisted, but... I can live with that. EDIT: It even has a little more power up the hills. I figure the lack of restriction lets the motor draw more power initially, for a big torque surge. Whatever it is, it's noticable and I like it.

How would this work for a DRB coniston pedal assisted mtb? Im not home at the moment and cant remember seeing any magnets. Its a nice bike but feels underpowered with the limiter. I can tell the battery has way more go in it without it

good torque hack! you can spread the two even further if you get a weaker magnet (weaker magnets have a larger field while stronger magnets have a smaller field - as a reference N55 is the strongest one you can find commercially) thus allowing you even greater speeds. You'd have to test out how strong the sensor is so that it still picks up the field.

On a Bafang M600, the motor will shut off with a E21 error if the speed sensor is not picking up the speed of the wheel.

I don't know why this should work. As a bike mechanic i know that as soon as the spoke magnet is not alligned propperly, the Bosch system gives an error code. This is because it does not know how fast the bike goes anymore and can bypass the 25kph speed limit. This is only for Bosch systems as far as i know. It's weird that this works on your Bosch E-Bike without giving error codes.

DO NOT DO THIS !!!! Making magnet out of alignment will not bypass the speed restriction . Best method would be to move speed sensor to frame and adding a magnet to the back of pedal . Plenty videos showing how it’s done but please do not do this as it’s doing nothing but cause error 503 and puts you in limp mode !!

If you want to go fast, buy a mountain bike from or road bike, your choice, and buy a bafang mid drive 1kW 52v motor kit. You can gear it to whatever style of riding you want to do. All out speed or cruiser. I have a giant e+ that's only good for around 29kph assisted with no throttle, it's road legal and is a very nice bike for around $4k here in Australia. Off road the tyres are a bit sketchy but I could fit dirt tyres, but I've don't around 600kms on it without any problems. I've just converted .y cross country mountain bike to a mid drive 9 speed 42 tooth bafang 1kW kit with a 21amh 52v battery. I broke the chain I bought not long after I finished building it but it wasn't rated for ebikes.I upgraded to the lekke bling ring 42t so the chain wouldn't jump like it does with the heavier stock chain wheel. I've oy got 5 levels of assistance with the current controller I use but I still get an easy 45-50 kph out of it and good range when I'm careful about how I ride. Iive in an area where there's hills up to 20% gradients and more and both bikes handle them easily but the more hills the quicker the battery will drain. But I highly recommend the bafang kits if you want to build something that's fast but also easier to ride I'd you're like me and you have knee issues. There are more expensive kits out there so it's entirely up to you what one you buy

Don't do it! I did it on my new 2023 giant fast road e+, and only worked for about 100km (3 rides). As soon as the system detected the irregular speed, it would shout down speed sensor ,lock the system and stop assist power. Giant can't do anything about the issue and still wait for Yamaha's solution.

What about a2017 Raleigh Sprite?

the easiest way is to put the sensor on the other side and then glue the magnet on the back side of the pedals. it does work well without errors

How can you do it with the latest models?

It doesnt work on all ebikes, because it has a sensor that needs to feel the magnet (there is another magnet in the sensor) so on most ebikes you need to move the sensor as well. But this technique can maybe work on older or cheaper brands that have less or no antimod stuff in them, and you need to know that the speedometer will just think youre going 25 because yo make thr magnet pass slower to trick it into making you go faster. DONT DO THIS !! I have a bosch gen 3 ..and will give you a error code 503 you have 2 chances with this and the motor goes in limp mode and there’s 2 ways getting rid of it .. go to a dealer and get a reset or peddle it for 90 minutes..

This doesn't work. Moving the sensor in or out counts the same time for one revolution. The magnet moves faster over a longer distance the farther from the hub/axis but proportionally faster. Increasing the outside diameter of the tire might work. This doesn't.

This method although old works on all pedal-assist only ebikes by moving the sensor to give continuous electric motor. There is another hack to derestrict the motor from EU to US speed limit. The hack is on the control screen.

DO NOT DO THIS...! as you clearly saw, he got the Error code 503, which is a sensor error, because he has moved the magnet 🧲 to far back, and it has trouble reading it... The magnet 🧲 is to be placed right out from the sensor, where this marking is ( --|- ) on your sensor... If you want to go faster, you screw off the sensor, gently pull the cord, as way out as you can, again, with caution, and when you have enough cord, you turn the sensor to the other side, so that it is on the side of your pedals, be careful when bending the cord, make sure that the sensor is straight, and listen, some bikes have longer cords, than others, and nothing to do about that, unless you know how to extend the cord, put isolation tape around the sensor, and it needs to be tight, the sensor must not be able to move, take of your back wheel, or this will get you angry 😉 easier to do without the back wheel, so ones you have done that, and of course, you cleaned the area, on the bike, before you started this, so you are sure, that it will stick, good, now take the magnet from your whim, and place it on the back of your pedal, keep in mind, that the magnet 🧲 still has to be in-line, with the sensor marking ( --|- ) Some bike sensors can go long, especially CUBE with the Bosch engine, so you can actually go even faster, but at this point, it won't work with the magnet on the pedal, you have to tape the magnet to your pedal arm, i recommend that you buy a new magnet, that really fits, and strong, not to strong though, and do make sure that they don't hit each other... Now by doing this, you have maximum tuned your e-bike, without using a race kit, or Speedbox... NOTICE !!! By doing this, you break Bosch policy, if you tune your bike, and unfortunately kills someone, no insurance will back you, cause you hacked your bike, thing about that first of all, and there are sensors in the engine, which can detect speed limits, so if you go to fast, you will get the Error code 504, which can be fixed easily, but when going downhill, make sure the magnet 🧲 is not connecting with the sensor, to avoid the 504 error, if you get it, the motor won't work properly, all you have too do, is drive slowly around a flat area, not uphill, and just drive around for about 45 minutes, and the 504 error will be gone... Please do all of this with caution ⚠️ - Stay Safe - - Ride Safe - - Peace - 🙏❤✌

Clickbait: Disabling isn´t the same as overriding. None has to watch your video, in order to know how to disable a system, one just disables it... Aside to that, overriding lets a system still look legal afterwards, while disabling looks illegal at first glance, so, what´s the use of it...?

The engineer who designed this system is smarter than you. It will give an error bc it's not sensing any speed data.

Move the magnet to the other of the wheel. Reduce the out balance of the wheel due to valve stem

this does not make sense one revolution is one revolution no matter where magnet is on spoke move too far away from sensor and it won,t registor at all

The speepdometer counts number of turns per minute. So your modification has no impact. You should change your wheels ,but youbdont have enough space.
