We've had questions about how to pack the Neutrino for airline travel, so we made this step-by-step video. Check out the Neutrino here: velo-orange.co...
Hilarious. Seems easier to travel with road bike with hidden cables than this. Also wondering how people believe in rim brakes if you can ruin them with only the oil from your hands?
Great Guide thanks, eagerly waiting for the next Neutrino drop. Couple questions, do you know of other bags that fit the Neutrino? Would it still fit with an alt bar, thinking the VO Crazy bar
Excellent guide! Would you know if it's possible to do this trick with drop bars? I do it on my Bike Friday by kind of hooking the drop bars around the frame but it's definitely some advanced Tetris.
Hello. Greetings from Brazil. I am the owner of the only one Neutrino here. I’m looking forward for having such a nice bag available here. My Neutrino is a small frame, which size is the one in the video? Mine is mounted with hydraulic brakes, is there anything special to consider when packing like this? Thanks!
The bike size here is a Large. For hydraulic brakes, be careful of where the brakes go, so the lines don't get kinked or damaged. And make sure to route the brakes externally, so it is easier to take the caliper off if needed for packing.
Thanks, was curious to see into how small a space it could be packed. If the frame split in the middle with S&S couplers it could be really small, and maybe avoid taking the fork and rear wheel off. Needless to say would be more expensive. Didn't see you put those little plastic shoes into the calipers to keep them from getting overextended if you press the brake lever by accident.
They are Avid BB7s a mechanical disc brake. You do not need to worry about popping out the pistons on a mechanical disc brake, just hydraulic disc brakes.
S&S couplers is the greatest idea on a bike that can travel with you. But the cost of adding 2 couplers will be more than the cost of this frameset. So, keeping them off from this model will be better.
@@velo_orange hmmm I’m tossing in between the large and XL frame. I fit on the xl and like the larger frame, but I ride a 54cm polyvalent so I’d technically match the L neutrino frame. Maybe fitting in the bag means I should grab a Large?
