Hi everyone, Thanks for watching this painting tutorial of a Christmas tree. Feel free to paint along.

I started at 1 pm and just finished. I absolutely love this tree. I changed up the colors to silver and gold and red and blue/purple balls. I added phalo green to the black for the tree. Made the ground look like ice and shimmered the reflections in it from the balls. Thankyou so much .

Got asked to paint a Christmas tree, after looking for an idea for 30 minutes, this is the prettiest one to me. Nice job, wish me luck

That is just gorgeous! Really lovely! I think I might try it, if I can get the hang of tap-and-push. I’ll never forget the first time my mom brought home a flocked tree. I loved it. And you’re right, you can’t have too many lights or colors on a Christmas tree.

Do you prime you canvas with anything?

For lower quality canvases, I apply 1-2 coats of Gesso (white, black or clear) Let dry and sand lightly if needed 👍

Very lovely. Christmas will be there before we know it. Can you do a video on blending with acrylics? Maybe different styles or techniques? I struggle with blending due to the speed that the paint dries.

@@joniyoungart Thnx so. much! I'll go check it out! I did find it easier to use a mop brush that's a bit wet (stole that from you, lol) and to work rather quick...acrylics are so fast to dry. would love to try oils, but I have 4 kids running around...the drying time will be a challenge with little fingers everywhere.
