Hello Brian!!! Going to paint my neighbors front porch and Googled how to do it and gave me your video. Now I feel I know how to do it. Great to see you and God Bless.
Trent, I stumbled upon your video searching for how to paint my porch but I recognize you from your viral video on IG about not judging others. Just wanted to let you know that it made an impression upon me. TY.
It looks amazing .just a suggestion to up it a notch. Maybe put banister around part of porch and then put flowers n mulch sounding porch. ❤.maybe a bird ath right there. Or little water feature .
So I am going to be painting my porch in the next few weekends before it gets too cold. I was told I had to use primer. Is that not true? I have seen lots of videos where no one used it. Thanks!
Hey. We used paint and primer. I don’t think you can go wrong using primer though. We aren’t experts though. Maybe talk to your local hardware store or a Sherwin Williams maybe before officially doing it?
I read you used paint and primer. Is the primer already in the paint? Or did you do do one coat of primer and one coat of paint? We are ready to do ours and bought porch paint and a can of primer.
@@TheTrentTribe thanks for the reply. I hope our paint turns out as good as yours. It's by Valspar called Porch, Floor & Patio / Wood & Concrete paint. Doesn't say anything about having primer in it.
I’m new to remodeling.. I want to sell my home and move to an area with better schools.. anyway one of my small projects is painting my cement front porch.. it’s about half the size of yours.. did I miss something? Why do u add sand? Also I have a dog.. an American bully who is about 100lbs and so strong… he is always dirtying up my porch… it was gray and I’m painting it a chocolate color… do u think changing the color will keep the dirt from showing as much? Cause I power washed it the beginning of last summer and within a day it looked just like it did prior to my washing and scrubbing… any help would be amazing! Thanks I’ll be sure to subscribe even if u don’t get back with me thanks for the video
The paint I got is Beher premium floor paint low lustre enamel porch and patio floor paint…. Should I still get sand or the stuff u were going to get that they were sold out of
First off, we aren’t pros. Lol I would go to your local paint story and tell them what you’re doing and they’ll hook you up. We added sand to give grit so the surface wouldn’t be slippery when it gets wet. If your concrete is already rough, you shouldn’t need it. If it’s smooth, then you will. You can’t really tell it’s in there either, which is funny. They made a grit that paint stores will add to your paint when they mix it for you. That makes it handy.
