How to Paint a Cottage with a Country Garden in Watercolour 

A poet would say that she could walk into your painting as if it were the most natural way to breathe the scent of the scene. This painting is one of my favorites of yours!

Good morning Paul, I set my alarm for 3:30 to catch you on watercolor Wednesday ! I can hardly wait to get started, I wanted to paint this beautiful picture in the group challenge , just didn’t know how ! I was hoping for my new brushes by now , but that’s ok I will hurry up and wait, maybe today….it takes about 2 weeks to the USA ! A very lovely painting of nature. The flowers and the other vegetation have that natural winsome color. The cottage and the pathways makes the scene look more cheery. Thank you once again for this great painting.

Hi Paul, another great demo. Thank you for such a lovely day at Scotney Castle, the time just flew. I will continue to work on my painting in ‘the studio’ (kitchen) and use my sketches and photos to try some more. The techniques used today will come in very useful. I will also be buying this months ‘Leisure Painter’ to have a go at your step by step painting of the steps and doorway into the castle. Thanks again to you both, Mary

😲Love the way you mix pastel with your painting. I was thinking of trying some of those PhMartin inks for bright flowers but don't know enough about it. I'm a retired teacher and am having fun learning watercolor. Thanks for sharing your art in such an enjoyable way....and love the drink breaks!

Amazing painting, love it. I think you should have ago at, painting a georgian building? There's one near Bath, called Polebarn hotel. It's a lovely old building, built in the king george the 3rd era!! You can see where the old windows were! They're blocked up now. Think you should have ago at it!!!😊

I think I recently did a search of your videos looking for flowers. I want to paint some pretty flowers to possibly make into stickers.
