That's great! We would love to see a picture of your new gorgeous accent wall. If you want, tag us on Instagram @cuttingedgestencils or add it to our Facebook for a chance for us to post it on our page :)
In the video, it seems you use two different gold colours: pale gold and deep gold. Is that correct? Do you use the gold colour from the same type of paint for the base colour on the wall? Thank you for your assistance. Magdalena
Hi! The base coat color is Deep Royal by Benjamin Moore (flat finish) and the Ginkgo Wall Art stencil pattern color is Pale Gold metallic paint by Modern Masters. Everything is also listed in the description, but if you have any more questions please let me know! :)
Hi, I just found your video and want to recreate, can you please help, I don't understand the spray adhesive part, I'm lost as to what it does. Sorry but I really love this look and want to do this soon. Thank you!
Hi Racheal! The spray adhesive part is optional. We recommend lightly misting repostionable spray adhesive on the back of the stencil before putting it on your wall and painting because it helps the stencil stick to the wall and reduce your chances of paint seepage under the stencil! You can get it at any local craft store! :)
@@CuttingEdgeStencils can you tell me, an anxious person who is afraid to ruin the rich green I’ll be putting up first, the exact brand spray adhesive that you used? 😂
The wall color is "Deep Royal" by Benjamin Moore (flat latex finish) and the leaf color is "Pale Gold" by Modern Masters. All of the details about this project can be found in the description :)
Hi! This pattern is a copyrighted design by Cutting Edge Stencils and we do not sell the patterns. You are able to buy them on our website! :) www.cuttingedgestencils.com/ginkgo-stencil-kim-myles-1660.html
Hi! Yes it does. We sell smooth dense foam rollers specifically for stenciling. Other types of rollers can lead to too much paint bleed under the edge of the stencil opening. www.cuttingedgestencils.com/stencil-foam-roller-with-handle-for-wall-stencils.html Thanks!
Hi, It's not necessary but can be helpful to reduce paint bleed. But if you properly load your roller (not too much paint) and press lightly, you can achieve great results.
Hi Marie! Since we wanted a variety of sizes, we used 2 size SMALL and 1 size LARGE. A little Pro Tip, we used two smalls because it helped us visualize the wall while stenciling and they fit like puzzle pieces when used with the large :) Here's the link to check out what sizes can work for you www.cuttingedgestencils.com/ginkgo-stencil-kim-myles-1660.html
Hi, Stenciling on texture walls is possible but your edges won't be as crisp as stenciling on a smooth surface. If you do want to stencil on a textured wall we recommend picking a natural organic design like this verses a geometric design. Thanks and good luck!
