Nice, I'm building one now. So many weapons options and configurations. I think I'm going to magnetize this one. Picked up some good tips from this video.
The music in the video is having a time travel effect on me I feel like I'm 6-7 again and watching one of those eighties fantasy or sci-fi movies that tangerine dream did the soundtrack for. Thanks for making such a detailed tutorial. Cheers.
Dude. nice to see you back building and doing your paint jobs, long road ahead done!!!don't look back Bro, Keep it up....Kid looking forward to the next one.
slayta So glad to hear off you Bro it means allot to see you comment. It has been a long road. This time last year I was in hospital. I will keep getting stronger and intend to take my hobby as far as I can. Thanks for watching it really has made my day to see you comment :)
I've been watching your videos for a while now and your skill just abounds me m8. Can you do me a favour please at the end can you do some close up work on the subject. ? It would be great how the weathering techniques really look like close up. Thanks and cannot wait to see more 👍
This was incredible, I started watching this at 4am and was engage most of the way through, there were a few building moments where it dragged on but found a good spot to continue!
This video was so good I didn't even realize I'd watched it for 40 minutes 😂😂 This is perfect for the jetfighter I'm painting right now, in this colour scheme actually! Great job.
Nicely done. However using plastic glues on the clear parts isn't always a wise choice. They have a decent chance of frosting the glass. Good old fashion white glue works great for that.
Great tutorial. I doubt I'll ever paint Dark Angel vehicles but I've saved it for later as there are so many top tips in there - too many for one viewing.
Nice job OPN. Have you ever tried adding a sepia wash to the metals, I find it helps add some more tone. Also, for heat effect on, for example the exhausts you should also consider some blue and or red wash. These should all be before the black that you use for shading. I love seeing how great your painting has become! Keep up the good work!
oinked I do when I want to go for a nice oily look its a great effect with the old gryphon sepia and the new argrax earth shade as well. don't think I have done burn marks but its a fantastic idea mate :)
Give me that awesome Nephilim Jetfighter or I will tell your daughter about the hair dryer! Great job, enjoyed the "Step by Step" video tutorial, keep them coming :)
Sorry fella this house move has really taken the wind out of my sales plus two weeks ago today by brother died very unexpectedly he was only 47. But have been working on my 1:35 hi nu bust and it's taking shape nicely :)
stuart Lathe I am really sorry to hear about your brother mate my sincere condolences. I really look forward to seeing the work on the bust, but fully understand why the wait has been so long for another one of your awesome videos.
beautiful job as always. was wondering how you did the fading on the wings should have guessed it was the weathering kit. btw i can see it now. "mom, dad stole my hair drier again!"
Another great video! Can I ask how you use the Vallejo Polyurethane Primer? I seem to have no end of trouble putting it through my airbrush. I understand it's supposed to be used neat and at 25-30psi but with my Neo for Iwata I find I can only 'reliably' (and even then its not that reliable) do so after I've thinned it and still spraying at 20psi.
there were some rly useful hints and techniques for beginners like me, thx a lot mate, btw whats that tamia nul oil you are using on the fins? i know its for 3d look, but there is no such thing in my country, so if you could just explain what is it basically i would be able to find something similar. thx again mate.
Great tutorial OPN! I bought one of these but I haven't painted it yet so this was great inspiration. Quick question: the bottle of paint you showed in the beginning was Dark Sea Green but the captions kept reading Dark Sea Grey; did you switch colors at some point or did you just use the green on the pilot? Thanks for sharing. :)
Fantastic model, brilliant video. Thank you I had just been using the Citadel spray cans for Priming, but now I see the huge benefit from an air brush. Any tips on the best one to buy? I notice you use a lot of Valerian air paints still your first choice a year later?
Awesome vid mate, your vids continue to inspire me as I paint up my DA army, out of interest been toying with the idea of trying a gunpla kit...where do I start?
Mister Miniature Hi mate glad your enjoying my DA videos regarding gunpla it depends on your skill level. if you have been modeling for a long time MG kits ( master grade kits ) are the highest detailed, but the HG ( high grade kits ) are very detailed them selfs and the newer kits are almost as detailed as the MG line of kits. a friend of mine has just bought this kit and would say it is a great way to start. feel free to find a kit so prefer yourself though. japan-cool.co.uk/epages/950003803.sf/en_GB/?ObjectID=27079858&ViewAction=ViewProduct. its a brand new kit super detailed and would give you an idea on whether you could maybe try a MG kit after this build. hope this has helped.
Thanks mate, I'm Uk based, I can see im gonna be broke pretty soon! yeah I think I might go for an MG as I think itll be cool to work on the slightly larger kits, will definitely be getting a Zaku!
I bought about a bunch of there new range recently and decided to give there new leadbelcher a try. I think it's not to bad deffinetly need sharking alot and thinning with acrylic thinner or water but it's not ti bad still the pigmentation is not as high as vallejo model air range but they don't have a good gun metal colour ether :(
I've been having allot of success using the revell thinner and retarder, it works amazing at low psi close in airbrush work, with paint drying almost as soon as it's applied ( which I thought was a bit odd with it being a retarder aswell as a thinner) . Anyways thanks for your reply and keep up the awesome work :)
