One of my favorite things about watching speed paintings is to see the transformation from "ehhh what is that" to "oh my gosh that's amazing."

i remember watching this in oct. 2013, i had just started with watercolors and you were one of my inspirations to paint realistic. sadly I've had a two year "break" because of clinical depression but i am getting better and starting to do painting again because i found you again, it made me realize how much it has helped me

Whenever I see beautiful paintings I always feel something heavy in my chest that makes me hard to breath, and like in any moment I feel like crying because of too much emotions. And then I See my future self in you, painting like this is so overwheming. I dont know if i'm the only one feeling this everytime I see beautiful paintings. I am not exaggerating this is just what I feel honestly.

I would love it if you actually talked throughout instead of the subtitled. I understand that you have it sped up BUT if you took a few moments to explain some parts of your process you can simply put that at normal speed OR you can voice over. I really like hearing the artists talk
@lb3724
@lb3724 10 лет назад
***** The subtitles are great however they read more like chapter headings than a conversation about her technique. I think that she could keep those headings and then talk thought AND offer CC of the actual conversation (i think youtube has a service that does that)... I just think that conversational "tutorials" give a little more insight into the artist's methods than the instructional ones.
@lb3724
@lb3724 10 лет назад
***** Yep! That's kind of what I was hoping for. The current titles are great but hearing (or reading) the artists thoughts are invaluable!

I watched you paint this eye, am in total awe! My husband is a portrait artist, did a few commissioned paintings for a few studios...mostly restorations...he enjoyed your work as well, he admits, that you're VERY talented, gifted beyond others...I always wonder, why can't I do this?...I mean we all have brains and use less than 10%...but finding where to tap into the talent centers ones biggest challenge...same with musicians and other talented/gifted, some are savants...some just idiots....I don't get how some artwork is seen as even worthy of hanging in a gallery, while some not worthy hanging in a barn...scare the spiders perhaps?...and artist like you, needs shared with the world!

Thanks very much for your comment, Kiki! I think all that color is the secret to making eyes look real. If you visit a museum and really look at the way old masters painted eyes, you'll see so much color in the whites. The only pure white areas are usually those little glare-spots. Those make the eye look like it's wet. Eyes are absolutely fascinating. Glad you're enjoying these!
