Diane is a self taught watercolor artist and a qualified and experienced teacher. On her website you can find prints of her loose and expressive paintings. Love this instructional video for the painting but even more for the banter! I also forget nouns I know very well on occasion! Loved Zen scratching and barking too. We live on 105 acres in the mountains of Colorado in the US and also have chickens. They are so much fun to watch. I love loose watercolor but as a perfectionist beginner, I find myself fussing much too much! I'm working on it, and your videos are so very helpful. Thank you!

Very fun painting! I would paint along, pause when I needed to catch up. Thank you for your videos! My friend and I are building a chicken coop. I painted this picture to frame and put inside the coop for the ladies! HaHaHa.

My 170 th. As a young child we had the privilege to cross the road and in about 200 meters the fields started. In one of the running trough the high grasses I was been bitten by a mother pheasant defending

Bless your heart!! I've often wondered how I could possibly capture the electric colors of our banty rooster's tail...and here it is!!! A loose style produces all the color w/out struggling (unsuccessfully most times) to detail every line. THANK YOU!! 😊

This was fun! I love chickens and roosters. They make me laugh. They have such comical personalities. Have you ever heard of Frizzle (or is it frazzle?) chickens? We had a couple of Frizzle roosters. They have crazy feathers growing in all directions, even on their legs. When they would get excited they'd run around all over the place with their crazy feathers. They looked like cartoon characters.

Diane, this painting is perfect in every way! I love the colors, not only on the rooster, but also in the background. It's so enjoyable to watch you create this from the sketch process, all the way to the finished painting. One of the many things I love about your channel is how you often think out loud, sharing your thought process with your viewers, sometimes not even knowing for sure exactly what you're going to do, but in the end, it's always a masterpiece!
