I want to tell you how exceptional your work is . I say this for 2 reasons. The hummingbird subject and your directions have given me wonderful results. Thank you for sharing
I've seen Ruby-throated hummingbirds around here; but, they tend not to stay still long enough for me to take a picture. I think this is a really nice painting and you have captured the sparkle without using any iridescent paint.
Thank you for this and all your other videos. About 2 months ago I picked up pencil/pen/watercolor for the first time in my 47 years because I always said I couldn't draw or paint, I have learned SO much from your tutorials THANK YOU!
Thanks for your great instrveuction and tips. I am 73 and never have had an art class in my life. RU-vid and artist like you make it fun and non threatening. Appreciate your efforts and skills shared. Blessing from a PTSD Viet Vet during my lockdown in the woods. Stay safe and thanks for the new life in colors~~~ Arches is a blessing, tried some Art Loft paper and it was brutal for blending and shading. Good paper makes my efforts more achievable. My best, be well
I tried this little bird! I'm still totally new to watercolor. And it was only my second bird painting. It's for my Dad for Christmas. I'm pretty proud of it, and so are my super artistic friends. ❤️
I've been watching you, and learning, for some time now and I think this has to be one of my favorites! You also paint on a smaller scale, which I love! However, when I was in college my professor used to get after me all the time for doing so! lol But I still do, most of the time! lol
Such a sweet, little bird! All the while watching you paint those small details, I wondered how you'd manage to paint such a tiny eye. Short of using a sewing needle, so happy to see you use your liner pen instead. I'm very much enjoying watching and learning from your bird watercolors!
I love watching you're videos! I am just learning how to paint and watching your videos make me feel like I can learn. Thank you for painting in real time, it is super helpful!
That's really cool! It is easy to follow it step by step especially for the beginner like me! Your videos help me a lot and can't wait for the next one! Thank you so much Peter!
I love the beauty of birds and I am just starting to get some experience with watercolor painting. Thank you so much for sharing your inspirational tutorial and your beautiful painting.
Hi, there, Maggi here, one of your biggest fans. I now have ALL of the colors you use in this painting. But guess what, I need to go out and get a 1/4 inch flat brush. I'm going to get one tomorrow. Can't wait to try this. I hope I can keep my hand as steady as yours (doubtful). Perhaps I need to velcro my arm to the table so it can't wobble!
Tthanks once again, Peter. I think I will start witn this one. You sketch so purposely and you make all yoir drawings so well. I will atill try my hand sketch Witypur technique. and no matter how well I can sketch, I will still gifemitmamgo!
Wonderful demo! Noticed your palette and am wondering what your tube paints are sitting on (in your Koi mixing tray). They don't look like pans. Swatches of card? Thank you for your generosity/time in making these demos available!
I’m wondering about your paint and how it’s so small and what it’s sitting on also? . Your videos are fantastic and your art work is just amazing talent . Thank you for sharing it with us.
You videos are really useful to me. I was wondering if you would paint a market scene, mall scene, vegetable market scene, railway station, drawing scene or college canteen scene and post it within 2 days. I need them urgently as I have entrance exam in a university.
Beautiful painting. I have subscribed. I read below that your tube paint is squeezed onto little papers. Is this because you want to lift them out and change the colours in your palette? Are you gluing them down with a temporary glue? as they don`t slide around.
ah yes. I hope you find a good solution. Perhaps you need 2 or 3 of those lovely palettes. I too like the idea of my paint not being in the pans, but flat on the palette. Let us know please if you find a better solution. Maybe glue dots, or gum arabic, not sure myself.
