I LOVE that you spend so much time teaching people to paint. No one spends the time you do and I really appreciate it. Of course, watching you create masterpieces is pretty inspiring as well.
A million thanks for sharing all your tips with us! I Think I´ve Watch all your videos at least one time each, and there so many tips! Now I have to start practising. Thank you!
Thank you for all the teachings dear MASTER! I am learning little by little with your teaching, have a beautiful afternoon, and a strong hug dear MASTER!
I'd like to thank you so very much for the fine grass details. You are one of the very best artists and everyone I've asked wants to keep secrets. I'm new to landscape painting and love your techniques to make natural brush strokes.💗😊very grateful. I paint with acrylics, but your art is captivating ❤
Years ago I was fortunate enough to take lessons from a very skilled oil painter she had me practice techniques on a separate panel just like you showed in this video and this turned out to help me to perfect those techniques more quickly. Thank you for showing this, it also brought back fond memories for me. You are an outstanding instructor. Your friend from the Great Lakes State of Michigan, USA. Keep safe and healthy.
Compliments! I wish you teach this kind of specific subjects in the future for the paying members! Not only the do's but also the don'ts. Thank you for your this video! Greetings from The Netherlands
Thank you so much for making this, I got so frustrated before trying to paint grass wet on wet because my lines were always too thick and the layers would all muddy together. Can't wait to have another go now :)
Oh, I am so inspired by your videos. I am a retired amateur painter about to start a foreground of dying bracken under some trees and am petrified I will make a muck of it and ruin the whole painting. This is the very lesson I needed to see to give me the courage to carry on. You have taught me so much Michael and I thank you enormously!!!!
Did you know a person (CH) has a FB page and online school using your name? I saw her post something on your FB brush/art sale and recognized the name from trying to sign up for the wrong FB page. Glad I signed up for the right MJSTV through your links, and not the other! Bless your heart for sharing your skills with us! You make it all look so easy! ❤️
I like your 'bladed' brush tip. Many people think that in order to paint very fine lines, they need to use the smallest brush they can find and on occasion, you can use one. Being a miniature artist myself, I can confidently say that you want to find the POINTIEST brush - your tip emphasises this point (pun lol) nicely.
Thank you michael... for your detailed explanation on grass... I find this is hard for me to make the grass realistic... I will try now with your instructions.
Thank you so much. I was trying to paint grass around a tree down to a road and encountered exactly those problems. I couldn’t get the lines thin enough and kept dragging the brush. Wrong brush I think. Thank you, I’ll try that. One positive this time, my tree leaves look better than usual. May be I’m learning, ha-ha.
I picked up so many techniques from you. I'm gonna incorporate it later to my paintings.... I wonder whether your eye glasses lenses changes from time to time, given these tiny details your eyes focus on, must be straining to the eyes
Veo pocos comentarios en español, así que aquí va el mío, de verdad para mí dibujas demasiado bien, alguien como tú merece más reconocimiento, sigue así!, dibujas excelente, estoy aprendiendo con tus vídeos.
Can you put the whole puddle painting on your MJS TV? Also can you comment on how to make random marks....mine never look as random and natural wether it be small pebbles, blades of grass or whatever....am enjoying your TV Channel.....
Hi. I noticed that in some of your grass-painting videos, you will paint in the darker texture/Liquin layer with the rigger brush, one blade shadow at a time, while in this and in still other videos you use either the fan or tree-and-texture brush for the darker layer. Is this a technique/choice we students should consider or is it just random? Thank you so much.
