You're going to paint over it?! Nooo!! That looks too good to just paint over it. I'd love to see a full model painted in this manner, it looks awesome! Just as an aside, I wanted to say thanks - I've been watching your videos for awhile now and they've helped my own painting come on leaps and bounds. I'm am forever in your debt!
This time I was a little hesitating when I saw the video was online, and instead it came out a masterpiece. Probably my favourite nmm you've done! 👍🏻 I look forward to try this recipe (and I'm not a nmm guy)
Nice! and for once I have all the paints! - no excuse not to give this ago. Also I think a video of you making some jewellery would be super interesting to see...And probably the best promo you could do!
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures ha well if it makes you feel any better, last night I ordered about 10 paints that I needed to follow your Kruleboyz and Hallowed Nights videos!
Great video. I’m still dealing with the loss of Darren’s channel but your videos are helping me through. Your nmm series has been super helpful. Quick question if it’s not too weird : does everyone do the four light source thing now or can you do nmm with less (I keep getting myself really confused by having parts of the model which are highlighted by one light source but in shadow from another…)
The four sources method is primarily done so the mini will look good from all sides and not just the picture side. You can do less of you want of course, many people (specially of they paint for boxarts or for display with a background behind) do it. There are other ways to overcome this but the four light sources is the easiest to understand, that's why o chose it.
that Monty Python rant got me laughing. If I wasn't already a patreon patron, I would have immediately ran out and signed up. Keep up the great work, sir!
Thanks mate 😘, I'm a massive Python fan and this was such a great excuse to flex it a bit. Also I'm using a teleprompter for the long intros like this one, this was the first time. I'm professional!
Damn, boy. Es una presiosidad! Realmente espero que sigas subiendo tutoriales asi. Ayuda mucho a la gente que quiere pero no sabe como pasar el siguiente nivel.
Honestly I watch your videos and begin painting and I get annoyed with myself, a month or so later after continuing you techniques I see results. Thank you, or should I use Eskarrik Asko, meastro. Your videos definitely push me to the next level for sure
Thank you Juan for another free masterclass. I´m so exciting to try this technics, I have buyed all the colors you use in this series of NMM. I think the most dificult is to difuminate the colours from light to shadows. One questions.. This botles are that you put the citadel paints into Vallejo type botles? I´m looking to buy this kind of botles and put with metal ball inside.. I hate citadel botles. Thanks!!!. Gracias!!
im not gonna lie, this was probably the first time I actually watched the sponsored segment of an video. Did not see that coming LOL had to rewind back to be sure I heard right !
I'm debating on whether to pay a sculptor to make these models for me to 3D print. They really look cool and I'd love to give painting something like this a shot.
@@JuanHidalgoMiniatures I've never tried sculpting by hand and it's something I'd like to try in the future. It's more of a time thing though. Barely have time to hobby paint as is.
Hola Juan. I really like this recipe, and it is very nice to get an interpretation of non-metallic metal from a jeweler/gold smith. You know what reflections look like better than most people. I also really like that you sculpted a mask that actual historic plague doctors used during the black death. I wonder if anyone else observed that reference to the historic plague. If you make another video using this figure, maybe you can explain the historic mask to everyone.
To be fair, o actually sculpted the mask as a copy of the one the videogame character uses, which is a variation on a real mask. In this case a human being couldn't see out of it, it's almost a bird skull in shape, it's weird. But that's how the character is (Plague Knight form the Shovel Knight game) But yeah, the idea is he is a caricature or a plague doctor.
