Fantastic as always! I followed your Chaos Knight and Demon Prince for tips and they came out great. I liked the fur on this model so I'm going to use those tactics for the fur on my Chaos Sorcerer as well. Keep those tips coming!

Appreciate the efford you put into it and explaining it well but i agree the music is too loud. Either reduce the volume alltogether or at least when youre talking. Shouldnt be too much efford after all the time you put into this already and makes it a lot more watchable :)

I don’t know if you have them in your area but they do make pointed cotton buds that are much easier to use especially for corners and such.

I've never built him sorry - but I imagine the best thing would be to dry fit everything and then add pins, then paint in sub assemblies

Another great Vid! Would soul blight wash work instead of Apothecary white? Also, any tips to paint this model in Crimson fists scheme? Mine just arrived and I'm gonna use him for my crimson fists

Soulblight should work just as well. It'll be a tiny bit more Grey, but it's pretty minimal, especially as a recess shade.

Additionally if you wanted to paint this model as Crimson fists I would follow almost entirely the same steps but start from a black prime coat everywhere other than the Cape, assuming that you're keeping it white on the inner side. A simple swap of Kantor blue into Calgar blue for the armor and khorne red into evil sunz scarlet for the fists otherwise. The colors used here for the leather and Metallics are great pairings to Crimson Fists as is.

I've never tried Corax White but I don't think I'll ever switch from Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White or Liquitex White Ink for zenithals.

They are great paints. Corax white is an off-white - great for basing some elements

Would you recommend oil washes for any kind of models or are there sculpts you would avoid using oil on?

I think you can use them on most models - the application may vary - for example if I wanted a clean finish, I'd only use it in the recesses rather than the whole model like I have here

Base a bright white, then cover in imperial fist contrast. While wet add magmadroth flame and mix it together, then add flesh tearers reds to the ends

What brushes did you use? I noticed the prices on the Rosemary brand were cheaper so I might grab a set if the bristles are firm

I generally use Rosemary & Co - link in the video description for the exact ones. Use synthetic brushes for ouls however

@@ThePaintingCoach Thanks man. Been trying to paint up my Leviathan marines as Salamanders to build up my skill with painting minis before I start collecting and painting Custodes. Seen some really solid improvement with the four Infernus marines I’ve done, but I’ve noticed my brushes aren’t very firm and start fraying upon contact with the models

Try a contrast paint - paint it heavily over the model and then take contrast medium and flood this over the mini - will help the contrast into the recesses and clear it from the top surfaces - check out Richard Gray who does this in his videos

Something like Garaghak Sewer for a brown look or Guilliman Flesh for a more traditional style. If you watch my sons of horus tutorial, i demonstrate the technique there 👍🏻

I'd say maybe Aggaros Dunes or Guilliman Flesh - check out Richard Gray's channel - he does exactly that on Imperial Fists 👍🏻
