Thank god - I caught this video and my phone died, glad I found it again! Great tutorial and an awesome outcome, my sisters will be here in two days :)
Love the color look for the sister. I'd be really interested in seeing the other sister color scheme you mentioned at the start of the video. I tried painting mine in a light blue scheme but couldn't get it right and ended up going with a darker purple instead.
Nice enough model, aptly positioned as if leaning into an impending battle with whoever but me I'm heavily into Orcs and have loads to prepare and clean then prime.
If it’s hard to get to, it’s hard to see so don’t worry too much about painting it! Thanks so much man, love to hear more sisters getting painted out there!
Sisters are awesome! And the Bloody Rose are an absolutely bonkers order. They're very detailed but you can get them done pretty quickly if you buckle down a bit. Curious about what your metal Sisters army looks like. I always love seeing classic models, they have character.
Question, because I'm a little confused with the new astra codex coming out. As a new player, I want to play krieg but do I use the data sheets from the new astra codex, or the sheets from the compendium? Because the see quite a bit different, in unit cost and such 😅
Looking forward to more SoB vids by you sir. The red power armour looks really simple but effective. I have a few sororitas boxes myself and feel that along with the Ad Mec they are some of the best models GW has released in recent years. Was thinking of eventually doing mine with a more medieval pilgrimesque look (brown tabards and hoods). Quick question. As a drybrush highlight on the black bits after applying corvus black what would you go for? A mechanicus standard grey?
Did some testing on some 3d printed models with the blood Angel contrast paint and found it to dry kinda blotchy. Did you have this issue? Is the layer and highlighting to help cover this up? Thanks looks great!
blotchiness usually means you need to apply more paint before it dries rather than dragging too little paint across the surface. it doesn't have to be perfect because in this case we layer it up but i have lots of contrast video where I don't need to add layers. Try applying more paint, and take the excess off with a brush.
I think the figure is less interesting, and certainly less accurate without the two tone cloak. You did a great job painting this figure. I think you did yourself a disservice going all black. I enjoy your videos.
Thanks so much, I'm happier with getting models done than going insane painting under a skirt you don't see much of but you can paint the two tone for sure with your own models!
Thank you! My Black Templars tutorials are done with contrast-they should pretty much cover the black armour but if you have any questions let me know!
