Another awesome beautiful fun and historical painting. You are just so talented and intelligent, and I love that you always get me laughing. Thank you so much
Absolutely beautiful gardens and so many inspiring, painting possibilities!! Splatting started early, wasn't sure of the purple shadow but turned out great as usual! My mother would have loved this one ♥️👍 And Mr Kipling makes exceedingly good cakes!🫖☕ 🍰😁
Good early morning Paul, one of the main reasons I love your tutorials is the little tidbit bit of history you always provide, it always intrigues me enough to do some of my own research on the subject ! This really turned out beautiful with that purple shadow and all that gorgeous texture ! I am feeling better by the day and I can’t wait to get started ! Thank you so much !Blessings to you and Margot , See you next week !
Just want to say how much I enjoy these watercolour Wednesdays! They give me something to look forward to, especially right now when most of the state of Oregon is burning and it's too smokey to enjoy being outside much at all. Thank you so very much for all the wisdom and joy you share with us.
Your videos make Wednesdays perfect and this was no exception. I appreciate that you break down the steps and explain the process. I have learned so much. Definitely giving this one a go!!!! Thank you!! Have a wonderful day!!!
Kipling himself wrote about art in The Conundrum of the Workshops. His poem encourages people to enjoy the simple act of creating without worrying, 'but is is art?' I try to remember this and just, like you say, 'have fun' when I'm being my own most severe critic. Thank you for all your advice, encouragement and fun.
Wow, you are quite a talent! I’ve never seen a blank of paper turn into such a beautiful scene so quickly! I must get my watercolours out of deep storage…quite inspiring! Bless you for sharing your talent!
This is lovely!!! I wouldn't have a clue how to paint this without your help! Thank you for a fabulous tutorial ❤ Keep cool 😎... til next Wednesday!!! A California Gramma 🎉
Those purple shadows 😍 They so natural whilst adding a hint of subtle colour. I would never have thought of that, but I'm definitely going to be trying it. Thanks 👍
This tutorial is great for me this week as I am painting picture in my art group of a little coastal village in Yorkshire called Robin Hood’s Bay. I am stuck with the stone walls so now hopefully after watching your video I’ll be able to complete it. Then I think I’ll have a go at your scene because I love it.
this tutorial is perfect. I took a lovely photo of wedding flower display against an old stone brick church and it's great to get guidance on how I can approach the painting :)❤
Beautiful painting. The Jungle Book is an all time favorite. In India, a full length cartoon serial was televised on the national TV in the late 1980s and was so popular with the theme song remembered and sung even today. Mowgli was such a loved character. The greens mixed from yellows and blues by me are so dull and lifeless. I have tried all consistency. Thank you for another watercolour Wednesday
Beautiful , Paul , wow. Loved it. Thank-you , for the different techniques. And I really enjoyed your chat about Mr Kipling. I was first introduced to his work in my teens , to his poem " IF ", what a beautiful poem. So motivating. Just like your tutorials and art. Thank-you for taking us with you to the tour of the lovely gardens. England is such a treat of small stunning counties , that everyone can feel like a Post or Artist there. Just perfect landscapes and back drops. 💯💯💖💖 Will definetly try this one too. 🥰🥰🥰 Have a wonderful week. See you next week. 🥰💖🥰
Evening Paul, greetings from down under. Another beautiful painting, cant wait to give it ago. 😊 just love your tutorials- I have learnt so much already.
Thanks for another great tutorial Paul. I really enjoy these doorway and widow vignettes so was very excited to see today’s subject. I also love seeing footage of your various workshops. I bought some pastel pencils at the weekend and am really enjoying using them for highlights instead of gouache. I can see that I’ll have to get a few more colours. So thanks for that tip too 😊
Can't wait to paint this beautiful Bateman's wall textures and shadows. Have to tell you secret, can't wait for your tutorial, so every Wednesday when I just open my eyes and I am still in the bed, I start looking for your tutorial for that week. Love your teachings and techniques and little history about places that you pic to paint for all of us.
I love your instructional videos. I recently started experimenting watercolors but have zero artistic experience. I am not very good but It’s fun and relaxing for me. I live near Raleigh, NC (USA). Thanks again for your videos and sharing your expert advice.
Ihave been painting and occasionally instructing watercolour for years and years! But I do tend to be slow and plodding sometimes. I appreciate your influence and lighthearted approach. I would like to see more of your preliminary sketching. Thank you for happy Wednesdays in this crazy world!
