Go check out the first video I ever made on RU-vid. You can see how much I have improved in just one year. First video - • How to Black-Out your ... Thanks again for watching! Comment below if you have any questions!
This channel has become one of my favorite channels on RU-vid. I am a true do-it-yourselfer and I never knew using tape was so easy. I always just used a screwdriver. thnx.
I don’t understand all the hate in the comments. I think it looks fine. Personally I’d rather just buy some bow ties and install new ones. But to each his own. Yep this guy just spray painted his bow ties on (what looks like) a brand new camaro. What of it? Looks fine to me.
A helpful tip about the spray can, before wiping the nozzle off you should turn the can upside down and spray the last little bit of paint out of the nozzle. This will help big time especially if the spray can sits for a long time before using it again and won't dry shut. The finish looks good BTW!
Update: Great video but I went with Krylon Dualbond Flat and it is AMAZING!!!! At Walmart you can buy detailing tape for $4.00 and it's worth it!!!! Take steel wool and "etch" your emblem. Don't use a circular motion! After "etching/roughing" up the surface spend as much time as you need to use the detailing tape around the area you wish to paint. In Wisconsin it gets cold fast so if you live in a similar climate get a blow dryer, put it on hot/low and heat up the area you are about to paint. NOTE: Before painting use rubbing alcohol to clean the surface you're about to paint....use the hair dryer to dry the alcohol. Now for the MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE YOU CAN NOT NEGLECT!!!!! Your first coat should be hardly a coat at all!!!! Trust me! Do one quick "dusting" for your first coat....the first coat should look as though you havn't added any paint at all. Keep doing this a few more times using the hair dryer (set on hot/low) to dry your Krylon Dualbond paint faster. TAKE YOUR TIME!!!! Don't rush! I want to give a shout out to Nima Tech as his video got me started on the right way of doing my Chevy logo so thank you!
You got some BALLS spraying a Car that New lol good job though. I'll be honest when I looked up "Paint my Chev Emblem" I didn't expect a Bran New Camaro and a kid with a spray can ;) good job. Easier then I thought it would be.
I've had my emblem plastidipped on for almost 4 Years now but I sanded the emblem since the paint was chipping and uneven and sure enough it never came off at all
All right so I can see you did it the wrong way which you should have did for next time is wipe it down with some alcohol the first thing you want to do is get a piece of sandpaper I would say probably 120 grit and you want to sand it scuff it then you want to wipe it off with alcohol then you want to prep it everything you did mask it off and stuff then you want to paint it when that dries hit it with a clear coat and that dries wet sanding then buff it then wax it it'll never come off
if the matte is your issue with plastidip then get a can of glosifier...gives the shine and still peelable...that way if you ever want to sell the car and the buyer dont want black it can go back to the original gold
new brakes AC compressor paint touchup steering wheel cover tinted windows silver door handles headlight / taillights black Chevy symbol (front and back) ✅ black rims silver side mirrors floor mats speakers stereo with backup camera brake calipers steering wheel alignment tires
What doesn't look good is that front plate holder, if your not required to have it then remove it. That's what's ugly. Also for super awesome results simply remove the emblems. Easier and more simple to paint
The paint I put on my GMC symbol is just now starting to come off, but it's been a little over 2 year when I did it, and I am no expert so i did a pretty good job, but the logo is in perfect condition to this day.
Ive been debating on painting mine green to match my car with some glossy spray paint from walmart. My car, is a blazer so it has a tiny logo on the tailgate too i was debating on painting.
Use Plasti Dip if you're not sure. Plasti Dip peels off if you don't like it. If you want a gloss look, you will need to buy the Plasti Dip Glossifier too. It holds up against rain, snow, car wash etc.
It's been raining here for almost a week now, so I might start again, but I have to find something interesting before I can just upload a video, because I rather upload a good video instead of a crappy one!
I did mine and all I used was a rag and paint thinner to get the wax off and I masked it off and used black gloss spray paint ! you can get everything at Walmart !
Ypu didnt scuff the surface first. You have terriblenorange peels going on... just because its fast doesnt mean its good. Take the extra 5 minutes to finish it with sanding, buffing. Make it look professional, not like you just spray painted it in 2 minutes.
Go online and order new bowties, just about any color you want, for under 20 dollars and quit listening to garbage like this. My bowties are carbon fiber, wont fade or chip away, properly installed and all for under $20. Why tf would anyone butcher their vehicle and waste their time with spray paint is beyond me. Real men do real legit work while boys spray paint their shit lmao. I feel bad for the woman who lets you climb on top of her at night 😂
And that's why you'll never get anything but trailer park pussy in your truck 😂 $20 dollars for legit parts that last many years or $10 for shit that will chip away and need to be redone in 1 year tops? Smh.
