I'm so glad they finally did this, recently got a Hero12 Black, and the external mic just picks up *all* the wind baffle, so was hoping I could bind it to the Sena to get some voice over instead, this'll be useful as hell for my new trip vids.
I have been using a hero 4 and the Sena capture device for my audio for years. It blew my mind sena had done nothing for vloggers for all this time. Finally. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🤪👌
Seems ok, audio recorded sounds low and like in a box obviously a BT mic. Sure its a small maybe temporary solution, but audio improvement is best when using the media mod + lav mic with wind buff. Either way, glad to see GoPro make this option available now.
Hello, your video is very good, showing how easy it is to connect Sena/GoPro12. Congratulations and thanks. I have a HJC50b communicator (which is also a Sena) and it also worked perfectly. However, if I use Quick Capture with the GoPro turned off, the connection with the communicator is not reestablished. The only way so far to reestablish the connection with the communicator is to turn the GoPro back on using the small "Power" button on the side, which is a problem when wearing thick gloves. Any workaround?
@@MonoMoto It does work. Two button presses versus just one, but you can place the GoPro further away this way. During my tests, I left the GoPro recording for too long and it lost the connection with the remote. I was forced to stop recording by pressing the top button and turn the GoPro off by pressing the "Power" button. The solution is not 100%. 😞Thanks a lot.
A couple of questions: How do you set the Sena to "turn on" the audio? Does it just record any audio from the Sena once it's connected, or do you have to push buttons on the Sena? I know that VOX works with the intercom, but I don't know if it works for anything paired as a phone. Also, if it's paired to the Sena, but you aren't talking, does the GoPro revert to its internal mic? Have you been able to pair the GoPro AND a phone to the Sena?
My Sena 10R can only pair to one phone connection at a time. So it's either Gopro or phone but not both for me. The Sena is just used by the GoPro as a bluetooth mic, so once connected it will record everything from the sena mic.
I'm looking for a solution that would record ALL of the conversation on the comms....I ride with my kids and would love to capture all our conversation. Can I do this with the HERO 12?
@kenrupin I’m investigating about that, and the best way to record group chat in the GoPro is with +mesh device from sena, it makes easier not using a lot of cables, the +mesh works via Bluetooth
hi I have a sena sf2 and I have tried to connect a gopro 12 and my cell phone at the same time, without success. Both separately if possible. Do you know how I could use the same signal for GoPro and cell phone?
That’s not possible I fear - you could try universal Bluetooth pairing but most likely you need to pair it as 2 phones and some senas don’t let you change easily between them
Than you for this video. I bought last week a GoPro 12 and tried with my Sena sc1 on Schuberth c4 helmet. It works but can’t listen music from phone. Can also not switch to phone. And when I connect to my passenger’s Sena connection fails or can not connect again to GoPro after ending intercom conversation. Do you have any idea? I also have “the remote” and works very fine.
Some Sena's support 2 phone profiles. Ones you have them both paired you should be able to switch between gopro and phone. Check your manual or Sena's youtube videos for that :)
I paired the 12 with my iPhone 14 and SENA 30K. I thought they all worked together seamlessly but in reality they did not. I decided to use a wireless Bluetooth MIC from Ulanzi (AM18) instead which works great. I can stream music through my helmet and the MIC does not pick up the sound. It would when making phone calls unless you turned the mic off during the call. But for recording quality audio and video the GP 12 is amazing paired with a Bluetooth MIC. I am working on a video demonstrating this.
@@wingandhogNice ! yeah the quality on my mic was bad, but it's probably due to being a simple and old Sena unit. Good to hear that other bluetooth mics produce good sound with GP 12
@@MonoMoto ... I have a little tweaking to do for sound quality through the GP12 but its a matter of adjusting the settings to get it right. I will be uploading my video to YT within the next two hours. If you get a chance, let me know what you think. I would appreciate any feedback if you don't mind.
