Hey Aaron! Thanks for this tutorial. I have a question..Once I pair the Bluetooth speaker and it's associated with the Google Home Mini as the default speaker, then is it possible for both the Google Home Mini and the paired Bluetooth speaker to playback music at the same time instead of music only coming out of the default Bluetooth speaker? If yes, then how do I go about it? Highly appreciate your time and feedback in advance!
2021: Made home group with minis in separate rooms. Just paired Vizio sound bar to family room mini as per your instructions (thank you!). Told Google to play RU-vid music & now it is playing on sound bar and master room mini! Fluke? Hope not!
@@ArpitSingla37 I think you need multiple speakers. I have three google nests and I paired the bluetooth speaker to the one in my bathroom that I don't use often so I could have my two main speakers and the bluetooth speaker all playing the same music.
Im going to go ahead and... Its going to go ahead and... If you wanted to go ahead and remove this.... You can go ahead and give it a test.... Im going to go ahead and play a song...
I just want to know why the hell home disconnects everything for nothing and then It doesn't reconnect with anything. I can't connect my tv to youtube now and no one seems to know how to do it. Not even the home app. It sends me round the bloody bend.
I went to buy a smart speaker a few days ago. I couldn't decide which one to buy, alexa or google home. I wanted to buy google but a man serving in the mall said that it couldn't connect to other Bluetooth speakers, but alexa could. Then, I showed him your video. His face was worth watching.
Now that that's done and my music is playing through my TV speaker successfully... Can I also have the music playing through the Google mini? (I mean through both my Google mini and my Bluetooth speaker at the same time)
How come you specified Home assistant and not google home in the description?? I just watched it whole trying to figure out if I need a freaking hockey puck or sum to connect my speaker to home assistant
Hello and thank you for the tutorial. Everything seemed to be going well until I reached the "default music speaker" menu. The "pair Bluetooth speaker" button does not show up. Is there something I missed?
So you can't just add a Bluetooth speaker to Google home? It always has to replace the speaker on some other device? So if I want 3 Bluetooth speakers connected I have to buy 3 Google homes?
Hi there, thanks for that, very helpful! However, can't seem to find a way to play sound through the connected device at the same time as other google home speakers. ie, it doesn't seem o be possible to add it into a speaker group, or even get sound at the same time as the main connected device... or am I missing something? thanks again for the vid! cheers
@@HelpCloud right, figures, grouping wouldn't probably work either as would essentially mean anyone could get the cheapest one out there and then create a full group using third party equipment without the need for purchasing top of the range speakers from google... thanks for a prompt reply!
I hate how Google Chromecast and the home app remove key features, my google home has none of these option...frustrating. i have chromecast V3 and the latest home app
Hey! In my device settings i don't have the option to add a bluetooth device. The speaker is in pairing mode but i don't have a button on the screen to press that has the word "bluetooth" in it in the nest mini settings menu
Hi aaron! I cannot seem to access device settings in my google home. It doesn't show the settings that came up from your explanation. Please let me know how to process this. Thanks!
Nope. Dated or ??? Bears no relation to my Google Home software. By "Office Speaker" do you mean "Google Home Mini speaker I put in the office"? Because randomly changing names away from their ACTUAL names in an instruction video is confusing as hell.
very good video i helped my grandma with her google home speaker funny thing tho i was browsing you tube for a video to fix this then you posted and it fit in perfect lol. But for your next video i have a suggestion... can you possibly find an easy was to pair a playstation controller to a pc or do you already have a video like this???
So you have a google speaker first and onmy then you can search for any other speaker. And if you don't have this OFFICE SLEAKER from google nut still want to pair your other rand speaker with Google home? There seems to be no way for doing this..
I'm using a vizio sound bar and a nest mini but they both just stay in pairing mode and they just won't connect and nothing pops up on my devices list? Any reason they might not be connecting
Hmmm, for some reason my google home wont detect my speakers. The ipad can connect to them with bluetooth but when i try connecting through google home's bluetooth it just will not work.
Thank you!!! I didn't do this but you helped me get my sonons with no Bluetooth to work with google home just by making me think about changing the play back in the google home app!! Thanks again!!!
The thing is,when you tap on the setting rotating gear , it doesn't connect to any "office gear" Funny because I don’t I never have any or had any office gear“! So it’s not as easy as this looks! When I push that gear bar it gears me up for a bunch of options I’ve already opted into doing and there are no ways I can connect through this method
Hey what if my Bluetooth speaker is Signify Jukebox that allows Bluetooth streaming as I have to connect it from my phone and play songs from My phone to the Bluetooth speaker jukebox. Can I connect it to the Google hone?

Want to connect google home to my Yamaha r-n303 receiver that I use for my turntable and bt from my phone. It says that I cannot connect to this device is there something besides the whole musicCast thing that’s stopping it or should I continue to try?
Does this only work on an Android phone? Because the google home interface on my iphone is NOTHING like this. The level of infuriating trying to set this up is off the charts.
You also say say that "Office speaker" comes up automatically on your home screen. So you've already paired them, before you even made this video? How is that helpful to anyone wanting to figure this out?
I don't have an iPhone to test out the interface but I would imagine it was similar. After you have paired them, it will automatically come up on the home screen.
you used a sound bar, i have the same one, but i was trying to connect the google mini and the soundbar to play audio from my TV. not sure if that’s possible.
This is a really off topic question, but I had a lot of pictures that I didn’t backup through iCloud. Shortly after my phone stopped working completely. Is it possible to back up pictures on iCloud through a computer?
Hi, I can't find any option in Google Home to add a non-Google Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth Amplifier device connected to speakers. I can add any Bluetooth speaker to my Android phone, but nothing shows up in Google Home except services and devices that are already connected to a service. Has Google removed this option to force users to only be able to use a Google speaker? Please help if you can.
In other words, I'm trying to connect my Bluetooth speakers directly to the Google Home software. I don't have a Google mini. I do have a Bose which is connected to Google Home via a Service. My speakers are generic Shava speakers that don't have a service.
@@HelpCloud after I click on the speaker on the app and go to the settings icon in the top right, there’s no option to connect it to a Bluetooth speaker. There’s no list
Aaron! Please tell how to connect bluetooth speaker to google meet. I had connect bluetooth but it is not coming during meeting. Please help Dear Aaron.
Will these steps work if I want to connect a speaker to a chromecast device? I have a home theater projector that I connected to my iPad with a chromecast device. So now I want to also connect a speaker to it so that the sound is better
Hi I have two Sony speakers in stereo mode on my phone it works. Do you have any idea if I purchase a home mini , will the speaker work in stereo mode ?
hey I believe I have the first version of chrome cast and it doesn't have that option to add a bluetooth device, do you know as far as which one they added that ?
I did everything connecting my vizio soundbar to the google home mini, I was able to pair it but in the end it shows: "default speaker could not be set". What do I think I should do? Thanks for the video
@@HelpCloud I fixed the mistake to an extent. They now stay paired for a while but don't stay paired past 24 hours. They are literally right next to each other and both are always plugged in. Either ways I gave up. Thanks.
Have the same issue, around 2-2:30 am, the bluethoot disconnects (I know because my bluethoot receptor sound when a device connects/disconnects) do you know how can we solve this issue?? Thank you!
