This is a cigar pairing tip that I have used for several years and it rarely lets me down. Of course there are exceptions and odd flavor pairings, but that’s part of the experience. Generally speaking, a darker whiskey has been aged longer and the same goes for a darker cigar. This method works to complement pairings, but some people prefer to contrast, in which case you can just use this method in reverse (pair a Connecticut wrapper with a dark whiskey, etc)
All the cigars in this demonstration are from @olivacigar - one of my go-to brands because they are so consistent. 🤙🏼💨
Featured whiskies are Buchanan’s 12 year scotch, Smoke Wagon straight bourbon and Heaven Hill distillery bottled in bond bourbon. 👊🏼🥃
Try some of these pairings or make up your own. Get creative and enjoy all the trials and errors - cheers! 🥃💨
