Thanks for making such a comprehensive video on the subject without annoying animations or sound effects. You're appreciated. Tomorrow I'm having a phone screening for my dream job and I'm terrified of fucking things up. My ADHD makes interviews very awkward and difficult so I have to write everything down. Literally word for word in case my mind goes blank. In my case, the salary range was posted on the job listing. So what I've come up with is, "I appreciate your company's transparency with their pay range, but only you and the hiring manager are privy to the actual budget for this role. While they will be the final judge on where my skillsets and expertise lands on that spectrum, I'd love the opportunity to plead my case to them in person." Does this suck? Pls help lol
Thanks for watching and supporting! Good luck with your interview! When it comes to salary ranges, if they ask you for your expectations you just say, "I am comfortable moving forward with interviews as long as the salary is on the high end of the range. How do you determine where someone falls on the range?"
