I was super nervous and at the end of the class when we had to do the hands on test my brain shut down! I passed though! Super proud of myself I got 86% and I needed 80% so I just made it
@@youtubebydoug Hi Jason Boudreau here, course was awsome, great instructor, really informative the safety of a firearm, being able to get hands-on with a general variety of non-restriced arms. Looking forward to my first purchase and day at the range.. Thanks again Jason..:)
Bro You got lucky. Today was my first day and the guy only let us use the guns for like 15 min. It’s not enough time for me and I don’t know what to do
Me and ny girlfriend are for our non restricted firearms course we read the book twice already and watched a lot of videos and even went into bas pro ships to get some hands on with the guns and learn before the test!
I was pretty sure I was going to fail this and almost never took the class. I den't want to drop $250 and fail but it really is a beginners course. Let me know the outcome after you take the course!
I took both the restricted and non restricted all at once so I wouldn't have to worry about it but if you are never planning on using the restricted license (for example) then you might be able to take the class and test all in one day. You would have to look into it though because i'm not 100% sure on that. I know a few of my classmates weren't intending on needing the restricted license but they still took the two day class so it might be mandatory if you want to carry and use a firearm in Canada.
Dude, as soon as you said the questions are worded funny, I knew it, that's my worst fear, that always gets me even though I know the answer, the question sometimes lacks information.
I did bring a notebook but I don't remember using it to much. It's definitely recommended. A few people pre read but that's probably overkill. If you pay attention you do fine. Let me know how it goes for you!
HI I want to get both the restricted and non-restricted licenses but I see two study guides online one for each do i need to read both or can I just read the restricted one and that will cover all info for both?
The restricted and non restricted are two different tests so there is a few differences between them. We had 3 or 4 students who read the online study guides before taking the class and I’m sure it’s helpful but it is definitely possible to go into this class with zero experience and pass. This class is built with that in mind. Just watching these RU-vid videos online and you’re already ahead of the game. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
I don't think anyone could answer this question for you. Everyone is going to have a different risk tolerance. I would recommend talking to wherever you plan on taking the course, finding out what precautions they are making and weighing out the risks and rewards.
@@HungTran-iu4sc to pass the restricted you have to pass the non restricted, so the restricted will be harder since you have to know the rules for both types.
I'm not sure how it works in other provinces but in BC you can buy your hunting license online. Make sure you have the license on you before you go out and everything's declared properly or you could get in big trouble.
you have to take an approved hunting course the same as when you go for your PAL. once you have your hunting license you apply for "tags" for what you want to hunt. I had an excellent instructor for my hunting course he made it very understandable. you will also be required to show safe handling of firearms during the test for your hunting license.
In Alberta I took an online course called hunter education and in Alberta you apply for tags through Alberta realm but you only need a win card to apply for hunting tags not your pal
