Key points: 1) Use lighter low cc motorcycle 2) Wear high-visibility gear & helmet 3) Use rear brake instead of front for stability in slow maneuvers 4) Go slow!
That's a good strategy if you are comfortable starting at higher speeds. I took it slow since I was focussed on turning and accelerated after passing every cone.
@@2901485 if I did that on my 250 it would stall too lol. Riding in the clutch and and using gas is reserved for bikes that have enough engine power to do so, and also not too much.
@Anomy01 go to bmv and pass the permit test. You can drive with that without your motorcycle license as long as you have a driver's license. You just can't drive at dark
How far apart are the cones on the swerve test. I wanted to set up a practice exam with cones in a parking lot and I was interested in knowing. I have a 900 CC kawasaki vulcan motorcycle. Also how much distance do you have on the right turn and also how much distance do you have to make a U-turn. Thank you for uploading!
The computer based tests had questions and answers. The computer test is not covered in the video but fee questions were asked in the spot like what is the engine size if bike, can you honk, can you indicate a turn, etc.
I rode there from Columbus OH just because couldn't get any COVID time appointments. Chillicothe was a mere walk-in although an hours drive (that I thoroughly enjoyed). Btw, moved to California - biker's heaven in November 2021!
After receiving my temporary permit card (already received) know I have to wait 6 months before taking the actual license/endorcement test but to do that is this the next step and if I pass do I get my license or is there another test after this one? I’m confused because it says you can pass the skills test or the actual motorcycle test so I just need clarification on that. I live in ohio. Thanks for any help!!
Bro you don't have to wait 6 months unless you're under 18. "Over Age 18 When you're ready, you can schedule a skills test. The test will take place on an off-street course." "Under Age 18 Prior to testing for a motorcycle or motor scooter license or endorsement, riders under age 18 must: Complete the probationary driver license requirements Hold the TIPIC for at least six months" You just schedule the skills test with the closest BMV that offers license tests, you can do it the next day after you get your TIPIC if you want to.
@@ipodpancakes2874 Only the test 2 that has the U-turn is different for higher cc motorcycle. For motorcycles higher than 600cc you do a U-turn without considering the dotted blue line. You make a U-turn between the two pink lines. Check out 5:50 of the video.
Thats not a stupid question at all! You can ride during the day based on the temporary permit obtained after clearing the computer based test. Only restrictions are to not ride 2 up, between 12:00 pm - 6:00 am, and without an actual motorcycle license/endorsement after 1 year of temporary permit. Thanks for asking. Ride safe.
