Do you recommend reading CFAI course material in addition to Marks's videos or just doing Mark's videos with EOC questions, question bank & Blue Box questions with mock exams enough? Thank you so much It is suggested by other students that CFAI course material is very lengthy compared to others like Kaplan. I'm an MBA with Commerce degree. Best Gaurav
Hello, Do I need to pay for the CFA 1 level, at the same time I pay for the Mark Eldrum CFA 1 Package? Or can I just buy the Marks Meldrum package 1 and later, arriving August 2021, pay for the CFA level test?
Hi Silvia! I'm registering for Level 1 May session, will there be enough time to study? I will have 6 and a half months! A lot of people told me that it's not doable and I should consider registering for August since I'm a fresh graduate who wasn't that good at college, but now I have both motivation and time! What do you think would the realistic decesion?
Yes of course! I would print out a blank calendar and write down which topics you will do on which days. Then do a LOT AND I MEAN A LOT of practice questions! That's the best way to reinforce the material you learn while watching videos! I think it's better to give yourself time but not too much as if you give yourself too much time you can lose motivation. I would do it in 6 months! That way you can pass and go onto level 2 :) You know yourself best so if you stay organized and focus you can definitely do it!
It was difficult for me! I had to re do the readings 3 times so I would actually learn it. You learn a lot when you re-do problems and readings and you’ll notice things you didn’t notice before

Wow so inspirational. You can take two attempts for cfa L1 but still start an investment management venture. This is real advice guys. Get rid of that phone. Like the honesty. She's right. Think over the longer horizon. Every sacrifice is worth it and will compound if you don't mess with them.
Yes! I used mark meldrum for almost everything and FinTree for some formula review videos! I also used the Schweser qbank but I think mark meldrum has enough questions in his package that you can save your money and just use him!
Silvia, when you sign up for exam on CFA, 150 extra, the print version? Are those just 6 books? Are you reading all those books on top of outside providers? We all have limited time, I am actually looking at Wiley. I am normally all over the place, one thing I am afraid it is I using so many programs, I losing focus. I am debating if using which providers or just using CFA board materials itself and which one spend most of my time, any thoughts? thanks Aaron

I never wasted my time taking notes. I wrote down the things that were hard for me and had to review but alway went straight to problems and questions. That was the best tactic for me!
