I passed with two minors. Just remember examiners are human, make them feel safe and comfortable. Apart from following the rules of the road make sure you also slow down over humps, brake smoothly, slow down before you turn. Remember you can’t fail for checking the mirrors too much, so check them. Another thing that helped me is positive self talk as I was on my way to my test, tell yourself you are a driver, you drive safe, you know exactly what you’re doing. Good luck to anyone with an upcoming test, you will pass if u set ur mind to it
I am finally in the ‘I passed but am still watching’ crew. The best advice I can give is to remember that the examiner is a person, and they’re at work! They’ve seen people all day every day and in the least rude way possible, you’re not special! It’s not a test, it’s a check to see if you’re safe to be out on your own. If you’re not safe, you don’t want to pass! You don’t wanna be out there on your own if you’re gonna hurt yourself or someone else. Stay as calm as you can, as soon as you meet the examiner you’ll start to feel better. Deep breaths, you’ll get there!! Try not to think about all the reasons you want to pass and instead think about where you’re gonna drive. Think ‘dot to dot’ one thing at a time!! Good luck!
Totally agreed. Better to fail and work on it until you're capable, than passing when you're not ready or due to lucky and go out their and cause danger to yourself and others. Traffic accidents are mistakes that can't be fixed.
I passed the test today. Just check the mirror and do a sensible speed, I nearly failed from driving TOO slow(and follow all Advice from this channel)Don’t let anxiety make you indecisive and slow nearly cost me it all. I PASSED SO IM SPREADING THIS POSITIVITY TO YOU GIRLS AND BOIS let friggin GOOOOOOOOO!!!
I passed my test yesterday, it is certainly the best feeling ever! Anyone who has an upcoming test, best of luck and don’t sweat it- you’ll get there 🤗
I watched this the night before my test and passed today on a first attempt, learnt soo much from here and it's been really helpful. Wasn't as bad as I thought it was, I blinked and the 40 minutes were up :))
Please may I ask how many majors you had in ur mock test 2 weeks before, my test is on the 11th of October and I had 3 majors in a mock test ( my instructor is very harsh) do you think I should give it a go because I do feel confident in myself or should I cancel it?
@@rebeccagrey5598 I passed yesterday - first attempt, but take my thoughts with a grain of salt. Two weeks prior to my test I also had serious faults and a series of mistakes in a mock test route (I even had one serious mistake in the first mock test of my last lesson!). Initially, my instructor even suggested I delay my test, and by then I’ve had well over the recommended driving lessons hours! However, I was determined and made sure that I focused on the areas I made mistakes to iron them out by my test date. Also, take greater ownership over your last few driving lessons. Your instructor should be open to listen to your suggestions and try to go over/practise the routes where you made the errors. Lastly, maintain your confidence, keep practising and tell yourself: “I will pass”. When you’re a learner/new driver mistake will happen, the key thing is to note them down and improve. Remember making a mistake/minor fault doesn’t automatically mean you will fail, stay focused and you’ll surprise yourself. All the very best!!
I passed last Monday. Thank you for all the content you provide. Hoping to get myself a wee Seat Ibiza very soon. First time pass at nearly 52 so it's never too late for anyone.
Congratulations on passing! I hope you enjoy your car, I had a 2010 Ibiza from new for 70k miles. Was very reliable but the DPF on the diesel was a pain. I'd stick to petrol unless you do big miles.
@@egalitarianism9203 Several reasons. I like the style and design of it (inside and out). I have no family so no need for anything bigger. Everything I've seen and read about it on RU-vid etc is overwhelmingly positive. I want something a little different than the popular cars you see everywhere. I've also considered the Peugeot 208 (newest generation), Suzuki Swift, Kia Picanto and a few others but the Ibiza is currently favourite. I still wear Adidas trainers BTW ;-)
I passed my test 09-05-24 Alhamdolilah it is certainly the best feeling ever! Anyone who has an upcoming test, best of luck and don't sweat it- you'll get there
@@bad867 even Arab christians do use Alhamdulillah to say thanks to Jesus, not only them but Arabised Jews also use it, it just means thanks to God in Arabic. One could’ve said Hallelujah as well and it’s not English either. Why would you feel the need to correct this person under such an irrelevant video, lol.
Finally, a video that lists everything you fundamentally need to know without making it a seven-part series unnecessarily. The speaker doesn't speak in an annoying, condescending tone with a raised pitch like he's talking at a toddler. He jusy explains how it is without sounding cocky or patronizing. This is an example of a great teacher.
Passed my test today!! Got 3 minors (one of which was stalling right outside the test centre right at the end of my test lol). Only had two lessons before christmas and used those dual control cars twice from Arnold Clark with my cousin and father. These videos were a massive help and I'd safely say they contributed to me passing. Good luck to everyone that has a test coming up!! Stay calm, the examiner wants you to pass.
I passed my driving today with 3 minors. I have a little baby so it was very stressful preparing for the test, thank you so much for your videos! I learnt more from you than my instructor. Best of luck everyone! Stay calm and use logic - you’ll pass.
I haven’t been able to take formal driving lessons because of limited availability so have been practicing with my family and watching this channel for tips. Just had my driving test today and PASSED with zero minors!! Just wanted to say thank you for the tips throughout this channel, really helped me understand what they are looking for in the test and how to drive confidently!
I passed my driving test this morning! I'm 39 years old and have tried learning to drive on and off since I was around 20. I have issues with coordination so decided to try learning in an automatic. My instructor was brilliant, but I also just want to say how useful I've found your videos. They've really helped with my confidence, and I'm going to continue watching then as I adapt to my own car. Keep on doing what you're doing! Thanks again.
So, today I passed my test! My instructor was amazing in every way, in addition these videos have been a major bonus for me! Thank you for your content! And good luck to anyone else who's going to do their test! Much love!
My test is tomorrow morning, my driving instructor is a constant source of anxiety for me, constantly shouting and yanking the steering wheel for no good reason. These videos have been a real soother for my anxiety that my gut instincts are right when driving and that my instructor shouting at me for minors doesn’t mean I’ll fail my test. I’m manifesting here that I’ll pass 🤞🏻
Ditto to soooo much of this. Know this comment is 2 years old but I hope you passed well in the end aha - got my test tomorrow, manifesting for a pass 🕯
Just passed my driving test this morning. I can't explain how much your videos helped me and how much i appreciate the effort you put into them, even though i'm not from the UK. You sir, are an absolute godsend.
Hi, I passed first time with 2 minors earlier this week!!! Your videos were so important in helping me gain my confidence and consolidating my skills. I would try and watch one video an evening in the weeks leading up to my test. So many thanks for all your hard work, this is making a huge difference to people's lives!!!!!!!
Passed today on my third attempt with three minors. I did have alot of practice with and without instructor but these videos had a massive part to play and will recommend to anyone learning to drive. I will contine to view as passing doesn't make me an expert and there are still things I need to brush up on! Thank you for your content! 😊
Thank you!! I failed my first driving test in October due to nerves and failed within the first 15 minutes 🤦🏼♀️ however I took it on Wednesday 10th Nov and passed with 3 minors after watching hours of your videos. Thank you so much :)
I’ve got my test in 2 weeks and haven’t had a lesson in a few weeks due to holidays of me and my instructor. Watching your videos have jogged my memory and helped me remember it all😊
Man I have my test in less than a week - I really hope my examiner is spirited like this guy. Edit: he wasn’t really but I passed 1st time with 7 minors or “driving faults” which isn’t terrible
I passed my test first time today with 4 minors. I can't tell you how much watching your videos helped! Appreciate all the content and I'll still be watching though I've passed.
I really like the way you explain things. Often I find that other channels on YT explain things as if they are really easy or obvious. Forgetting that to a beginner or learner that these things are not obvious or logical. Very underestimated part of being a good driving instructor!
I passed my driving test yesterday with only one minor. I have spent a great amount of time looking at your videos and they did help me a lot on my test. Thank you Richard for all the tricks and tips that you gave!
Just passed my test today with only 3 minors. Thank you Richard for all the great videos. They have been great for touching up on maneuvers and skills within driving between lessons. Thank you again!
Extremely grateful for all your videos Richard, been binge watching for quite a while leading up my test, today, which I've passed with 0 minors! Thanks a lot and keep posting quality content!
I passed my driving test today on my first attempt after watching your videos and having 6 hours of driving lessons. I must say, your videos are amazing and you’re a brilliant teacher! Thank you very much!
I passed my driving test today at 0840 hours. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much in addition to my lessons, your content has been a great supplemtary add on! Subscribed, liked and shared with my test buddies. You deserve all the recognition you can get!!!
I have just passed my test after 3 attempts, with no driving faults at all, I wished I had stumbled upon your videos earlier, it’s the best around. Thanks for what you do, I’ll share this channel with everyone I know that needs it
Hi past my driving test first time today without any official lessons, this deffo would not of been possible without your videos amazing content. Thank you
I've got my test on the 19th, over lockdown your videos have helped me keep up to date with my knowledge, even if I don't pass your videos have been so helpful.
I just passed my test and I couldn’t have done it without this channel. I watched this video right before the test! Thank you so much for your help it was invaluable
Just wanted to thank you for all your amazing content! I've been watching all your videos while learning myself how to teach my daughter to drive. We watched this video on the morning of her test and it was just the trick to get her focused, we also watched your two step junctions video and I noticed right on our practice run that she was staying in 3rd gear too late on some roundabouts and was then rushing her decisions, so we put that process right into play and I also made her say to me "I can go" which added another second of thought time (obv in her head on the test), it just totally changed her whole approach to a much slicker, smoother one. ( You are a great presenter by the way!!) She said she put it all into practice on her test and knew she was doing well but on the last part had 3 cyclists in front of her and was thinking "oh no!!!" but she did well, overtook the first as there was a gap between that one and the first two, then remained calm and didn't try to overtake when it wasn't safe.. luckily they turned off and she passed with only 1 minor.
Got my driving test in 2 days, commenting to manifest that I will pass! Your videos have been so helpful in making me feel more confident, so fingers crossed!
@@ConquerDriving after 4 hours on the phone to DVLA to rearrange my test, passed first time today! Thank you so much for all of these videos, they have be SUCH a good help as I was learning!!
I passed mine last Thursday. Still can’t believe that I made it. 😅 The tell me question that I got asked was how to check the oil which I got the answer for that from one of your videos I watched before my test day. Thank you so much for your useful videos! Also, I think apart from knowing how to actually drive safely, staying calm during the test is the key. Good luck to whoever having their upcoming tests booked in. If I can do it, you can do it! 😊
Just passed my driving test yesterday, with 5 minors, and I wanted to say a big thanks to this channel for all the helpful videos! I passed after 8 hours of lessons here in the UK, even though I had prior driving experience in Pakistan. Funny thing-my instructor wasn’t sure if I’d pass, so he didn’t lend me his car (maybe because I didn’t take enough lessons with him, haha). For anyone getting ready for their test: don’t stress too much about all the little things in the videos. The examiners mainly want to see if you’re a safe driver. They actually help a lot during the test by chatting with you, so just focus on your driving and stay calm. Good luck!
I passed my driving test today with 4 minors , I didn't have much confidence in myself it still really hasn't sink in yet I was super nervous but tried my best to have a clear head as long as you have had plenty lessons and actively practising safe driving everything should be okay, good luck to anyone waiting or going for there tests try stay calm you've got this 💯👍
Just passed and honestly these videos are mainly what got me up to test level in the last few weeks so thank you so much for making them!! I actually didnt think i'd be ready but managed to pass first time, after watching loads of vids on youtube. Good luck to anyone preparing, remember they just want to see that you can be safe on the road. Have confidence in yourself cuz itll help your driving and do your best!! :)
All i want to say is thanks. I passed my driving licence yesterday in Italy. I gained a lot experience from your videos than my driving instructor. I recommend people to watch how to stay in the middle of your lane, it's really help a lot.
I passed my driving test yesterday, first attempt with only 3 minors and didn't do many hours practicing. I can say that watching your videos definitely helped me pass so thank you! To everyone having their tests soon, I assure you that the test is nowhere as scary as you think, as long as you don't get into your own head, then it should be really simple. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
Hi, watch this video last night and just passed my test today. This video reassured me on many different aspects of driving and it was a real help during the test. Thank you greatly.
Hiya! I passed my exam yesterday with only 2 minors! thanks again for all your super helpful videos, I watched them over and over again. Keep doing what you do, I'm sure you help thousands of learner drivers every year. Thanks again, Ruby :)
I passed my test first time on Thursday with 2 minors. This channel was a constant leading up to my test and I believe my pass was hugely due to the information you give. Thank you so much for what you do, you’re a legend!
Passed my driving test yesterday, with 2 minors! Thank you so much for all the videos and content you provide Richard, I have been learning with my dad and have used your videos as my professional guide. I have viewed your videos like the bible over the past few months, and now it has paid off! Your advice is second to none. My favourite video is probably the mirrors signal speed gear decide as I use that all the time!Thank you for your brilliant teaching and best wishes for the new year! 🥳🎉
I passed my test today, Thanks to @Conquer Driving , your videos are really helpful. It's greatest feeling after multiple failure. Just believe in yourself, focus on all observations and mirror checks. Best of luck who have upcoming test.
Thank you for your videos. I passed on the 20th May 1st time pass. With 0 faults, thanks to my instructor and all these great videos on here including yours buddy.
How to pass? Easy Just keep re-taking your driving exam until you pass. Once that pass happens, it would have been the best timing and that you are now ready. Let fate sometimes just get on with things. You just keep trying your best and focus on that.
Thank you 🙏🏽 for all the educational videos about driving, explaining everything in detail plus how to stay calm and a little bit of your humour. 😂 It’s a massive help! Yesterday I pass my test.🙌🏼🎉 I am so happy!☺️ I'm grateful to you for all your hard work, helping us new drivers to feel more comfortable with the roads and control of the car. You are an amazing driving teacher. ☺️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Passed first time today and I'd like to thank you for all that you do. Your content and channel is a fantastic resource that helped me greatly. Cheers.
I passed my test today with only two driving faults. I wanna say a big thank you. I watched your videos everyday and they’ve been a great help. All the best!
Binge watched most of your videos before my test last Friday, thankfully I passed!!! - the whole experience was nerve wracking but the relief is incredible 😂 thanks Richard!!!
I have my test coming up in a few months and was so glad I found your channel a few weeks ago. All of the videos I have seen so far help so much in conjunction with my own instructor. This video in particular is great in showing you things to expect on the test, can't thank you enough!
Just finished my test and I passed first time with 3 minors! Wanted to thank you for this as a lot of the stuff in this video became applicable in the test and I may have failed if I didn’t watch this video last night!
Passed my test today, only two minors. There were no lessons available in my area, so I have watched loads of your videos and practiced in my partners car. Thank you so much for your help.
I’ve just passed my test yesterday!! I watched this video a few hours before the test and it was very helpful for me. I’ve watched many of your videos throughout my preparations for the test and I’m very grateful for all the help tips and advice. I truly believe your videos especially this one were a key part of me being prepared. Thank you!!
Failed my test a few weeks ago but this video certainly helped calm me down before hand and gave a great insight into what to expect , got my second one in less than 3 hours hoping for the pass today ! :D
Passed my test today first time, a few minors from the beginning when i was super nervous. This video was a great help. Thank you for making all of your content mate, I binged watched every night this week, I was dropped by my instructor a few weeks before my test, didn't think I would pass and didn't want to effect their pass rates...had to buy a car last week...not long to learn but I practiced things from your videos in that week...the reverse bay parking worked a treat! Didn't get to practice it until I was literally in the test centre!!! I followed the steps and nailed it! Even though I've passed I'm still going to watch...still have lots to learn. Thanks again for making this channel. Awesome!
I passed my test today first time and these videos are really helpful.. This is the best feeling 😊 All the best to all who is going to take driving test.. Stay relaxed and everything will fall in place.. Make sure to do all the checks before starting, mirror checks and indicate before changing lanes and directions. All the very best 😊
Just passed my test yesterday first try, and for everyone that may be nervous about the test just try to relax and focus and you will make it too. And thank you for all the help i really appreciate it.
It’s also worth saying that, in scotland at least, having to pull out in your manoeuvre and reverse a second time is a minor fault, but it’s better to take that minor fault than to fail as in scotland you’re allowed 15 minor faults in your test
I finally passed my driving test today! It was my 5th go. Your videos have been so helpful especially the ones on dealing with nerves. Thanks for what you do, I’m very grateful :)
Going with my fiancé from Pittsburgh to Ireland in a couple months and I've rented a car- I've lived and driven in the UK; but he hasn't. This video has GREATLY improved my confidence!! I'll have him watch it as well and quiz him! Thank you sooooo very much!! 💓
passed with 2 minors! Thanks for the advice, the examiner even said at the end it's more about showing control of the car and confidence whilst observing everything on the road. My first minor was for someone pulling out on me and braking without checking the interior mirror and the second was for adjusting my manoeuvre which was a reverse park in a bay.
I unfortunately failed my first attempt with 1 serious and 0 non-serious faults. These videos have been invaluable along with my instructor to get my driving to a point where I could even do the test and I'm determined to pass it next time, thank you so much for your clear and concise methods and presentation and to anyone else who has failed and is watching these videos, don't let it get you down too much, we will get there!
I’ve passed my test today on the first attempt although have to say my nerves did setting, but your videos has definitely helped me conquer my driving fears
I got my first test on the 8th July. Been cancelled 3 times hopefully I can try and pass first try! But I can definitely say the nerves are starting to rack up 😫😬
I'm watching your videos for the first time before my third attempt. I hope that taking in this knowledge makes the difference this time and I can use it to be more confident to try and fight my nerves. I'm looking forward to never having to think about driving lessons or tests again!
@@luke7842 I agree. Obviously you don't need to do it after you pass your your test if you don't want to, but on a test an examiner could give you a scenario like 'what if you were on a hill and you rolled back, not knowing a child was behind the car?'
Yes cos I am in my sixties I taught loads of family all passing 1st time I am teaching my wife to drive and seems to me if you can do the old way then you will pass and if you do put your hand in the wrong place on the steering wheel you will get away with it.I don't agree with a lot of this video but it is nice to know that the old way of teaching is good and the mondern way there is room for a mistake as long as it is not serious mistake you may have seen I made a few comments one being that I don't agree with not doing a left blind spot check when pulling away from the curb my opinion is that you need to know what is around your car a child could be there and drops a toy near the back wheel so many different things so you need to know what is around your car.I know this video is going on what is needed to pass your test I am just saying the old way has not failed me yet in fact after my son passed the examiner said he must have had a good teacher, he did have a minor and as like in this video he did not do obsersatios after controlled stop ( emergency stop )
@@joefinnegan4115 Thank you there is another video on here and when I pointed out he did not do left blind spot don't thing he was too happy thanks again
Hi , I passed my driving test today and I give all credit to this video and Richard. It really made me clear how should I drive and what is expected and I kept car reasonably slow , mirrors , signals and careful about oncoming traffic and I got no mistake , thank you so much for such amazing tips and informations to follow . It really worked:) cheers
Oh I have seen many videos on RU-vid but this instructor makes it very clear as to why we need check and where. Big thumbs up for keeping it clear and simple. Please keep making such videos for beginners like me!!
This was very informing and easy to follow. I’m planning to try for the drivers permit soon and this really helps. I’m just hoping it won’t be too different here in Sweden. Thanks!
Having moved from US, I had take driving tests here. I passed my theory & practical test within a week. All I did was watch this video & your roundabout video for my practical driving test. Great content, effectively passed without paying anything.
Thank you for all you're doing on this channel! Passed today and these videos have been a great help 🙂 wish I'd had them when I did my previous three tests 6 years ago! If you've got your test coming up good luck! My test today was not perfect, thought I'd failed it three times, but keeping calm and correcting any silly mistakes you make will get you through in one piece and with a license at the other end!
This is an amazing video. Thanks so much. Got a test coming up and its nice to have a good understanding of exactly what eximinars could pass/mark down/fail you on. Little Update: I passed! 4th time's a charm haha. It really is about gaining control of your nerves.
@@ia640 I don’t know how bad that serious fault may have been however you will get another chance to prove then you can drive safely and use this as an experience to learn from mistakes especially if they were the only ones that you made. just got to do the same thing again just without those errors
