How to pass the standards check at the first attempt

Well done Travis :D I guess it's one of the only times where you get to feel as us learners do and getting that "You have passed" words :D I remember my instructor who was a new instructor telling me about how she didn't think she would pass her instructor test and that she was nervous and doubting herself, yet she did and she was the best instructor out of all 3 instructors I had been with. It bridged that gap between teacher and student and even though I was nervous, hearing her say that sort of calmed me down to the fact that we are all human and that we are not going to be perfect. We all have doubts. I guess preperation is key.

Excellent brilliant. Cannot find words to say thanks passed 44/51 10 minutes wait for the examiner results to arrive was like wait for 10 decades. Listening again and again is the motto thanks T God bless you and others in line.

Had my last Standards Check back on 15th March 2017. Got a grade B and the examiner told me my next one Check would be in 2 or 3 years from then. So I guess I am due one very soon. But going on your experience when you said was overdue I guess I could still wait a while. My previous Standards Check was also overdue. I was told in September 2013 with a 4 grade on the old check test that they would leave me alone for a couple of years. In the end the letter I got from them after that was the same day as the EU referendum (June 2016). My first attempt was late August 16 and failed a bit badly. So got some training and just missed out on the 2nd attempt in early November of that year having got a letter about a week and a half after the first go. Got a letter in earlish January 17 and finally got through. But I don't want to rely on your most recent check being overdue or mine from between September 13 and August 16 being overdue. I have to be on my toes and expect it any time.

Basically the standard check is like part 3 . I was studying for part 1 but i didn't know you have to do a standard check every 3/4 years. That just put me off to be honest

My instructor points out any mistakes I make while driving while I'm driving but dont seems to ever plan the next lesson , I had an issue with steering too wide on turns but he didnt give any advice on how to sort it which dont fill me with confidence at all

Am I wrong? I believe you can't choose subject, it's down to the pupil to say what they want to work on.. within reason of course. Could you clear this matter up?
