Thank you so much for these instructional videos. I re upholster furniture, but have been helping teach my brother in law how to refurbish his E type jaguar automobiles. As he is a noted SME on authentic engine restorations, the seat restorations have to be true to the original fabrication. I used your seat and this pattern video as training material. We have made test covers and he was very pleased. Thank you again for the high level of detail, it makes all the difference.
I'm surprised you didn't add a seam allowance before cutting. Do you find it easier to add once you start cutting your materials? I love using plastic to make my patterns but I primarily make outdoor covers; I'm not brave enough to get into automotive yet!
I am looking for some spreadable glue for leather. With so many brands not sure wich ones are good. Do you have any suggestions? I am based in the UK. Thanks
@@coastalcushionco8227 I mainly use veg tan leather. And looking for some brushable glue ( something similar to resistol 5000 or vl 2000) to bond leather pieces together. Thanks
