thanks im getting shenron colored in on monday this helps with a few things. the leg is alot different than my arms haha. its been a lil bit of a hassle
Healing my calf after an 8 hour session was a nightmare. Swollen foot , having cramps every time I stood up, or when i stopped after walking. It felt way worse than the actual session
Same 2 and a half weeks and still got baby skin and ankle area is still peeling a lil bit. Weird af. No infections either. But did get some cracks when it got real dry. Looks awesome tonne of color. But what a pain lol
I’ve been working on my leg tattoo and I’ve had 3 sessions and the upper leg is still healing but the lower half my ankle is swollen and had me nervous
Watching this prepping for a full leg sleeve in 2 weeks. I used saniderm on my other leg sleeve. It healed very well, but I used sandierm on my knee and I agree, it was very annoying applying it there and keeping it there for those 5 days. I'll only use saniderm on my thigh and lower leg. Hope it heals just as well
Agree. Agree. Agree. Also, let those know that healing time also varies a lot on the type of tattoo and length of session - color realism tattoos take a bit longer to heal then black/grey and simple traditional tattoos. The more saturated and the more the area is worked the more plasma will be released during healing and the longer the healing process, especially in the lower leg from my experience. Enjoyed the video as always. I’ve used Derm Shield for my lower leg sleeves (color realism) and they heal awesome. I keep first Derm Shield on for about 12-24 hours then remove, wash, dry and apply second Derm shield on for 24 hours then remove, wash, dry and then apply third and final Derm shield on for 5 days. Remove and then moisturize at least 3-4x day until fully healed and no longer dry
I usually take the wrap off the next morning n make the bath black with plasma but I just got a new tattoo n my artist put second skin onit and I left it on for 3 days and honestly it’s made the healing process way more easier.. the plasma that gets released also helps YeH tattoo heal so I left the plasma on for 3 days.. took it off and there’s no pain nothing the colours are vibrant and looks awesome !
This is great info! I got my lower leg tattooed about two and a half weeks ago with a 7 hour session. I went with the more traditional method of healing because I didn’t have any second skin. I washed and applied a thin layer of Vaseline the first 4 days, the. Switched to lotion. I’m still in the peeling stage and the skin Almost looks scaly in some areas. Also some of the shading is looking very faded, so I’m a little concerned. But with you saying the lower leg takes a longer time to heal, that makes me feel better. If anything I can always go for a touch up. Thanks for the content!
Yeah it takes so much long at the very bottom leg. I wouldn’t worry about it till it’s fully healed. You might need a touch up if it doesn’t look right though
Oh man, I wish this had come out about three weeks ago. I got a great blast on the back of my calf and my whole lower leg blew up like a balloon. It is the worst and longest healing experience I've ever had. Gotta be sure to elevate that leg when you've got some spare time at home and at night to help reduce swelling.
Thank you so much Mike. I’ll be getting my first tattoo next month on my thigh and have been more worried about how to shower/wear pants to work than the actual pain of the tattoo.
Hi there! My first tattoo just got done. One in my right forearm (which is kinda big) and one in my left wrist (a small one). After the tattoo session, which we did in our house, my tattoo artist did not wrap it. He advised me to give it some time to air dry before washing it with soap (a non-whitening product) and moisturizer the next day. That's how it would stay for three days. He then promised to suggest a specific ointment or cream for me. Since it's an open wound and might become worse, I can't help but overthink.
Great video. Tattoo film is new for me. Never used it. But just bought some. Cant wait to see the result. I am wondering. I have been tattooet today on my leg. Lower leg sleeve in the making. I put my leg up. Laying on a sofa. The rest of the day. My artist told me si. Is that important? Do you just behave normal, the day after a leg tattoo? Normal means, No sweating of course. Regards Markus
Actually curious when people have their whole back or an akward spot on the back tattoo'ed.. I've got one small between the shoulderblades, and I could barely reach it when taking care of it. If it was 1cm longer down, I wouldn't have reached it.
@@EvolveINK I can only imagine 😂 I have my elbows done like not glazed over like with sleeves I mean literally on the elbow bone 🦴 it's rare people have it there but I have both on the bone and it didn't hurt at all the usual sting tho but I have batman red background on the left side and a purple hope Rose on the right and Everytime I show it to someone they asked if it hurt I say no Everytime 😂 I'm almost done my arms a few more pieces then it'll be shade in color time so they turn into sleeves also have finish my right trap and the back of the neck
I went and got a quarter leg in my right back calve; full calve piece wrapping around the sides of my calve from the ankle to the ditch. I both regret it and take quite a good ammount of pride in it as well. It is beautiful, and amazing; my guy really just put a whole piece of art on me and I love it. The healing is a PAIN in the ARSE though which is the regret 🤣 also now knowing what I could have done better like ugh! 😅
@@EvolveINK If something done wrong, I can't act right away with this second skin on, I'm immune suppressed so infection prone. Prefer to be able to fix thing quick!
I just got my first tattoo on my forearm And been watching a lot of your videos for more guidance. But I’m still confused on some things. When it comes to keeping the new tattoo moisturize do I have to wash the tattoo every time I apply moisturizer? Or just wash my hands thoroughly when want to apply more moisturizer like hustle butter or lubriderm unscented lotion?
Hey! Congrats on the new tattoo. So you should only be washing your tattoo 2-3 times a day. With the traditional healing method you would moisturize it 3 times a day as well. But I do have an updated tattoo healing video that would work great on your arm tattoo. Check it out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FNpJ1N0zmKw.htmlsi=_c062v1JLtW99sED
If you are healing with a product like saniderm or second skin then yes you can, but if you are healing it the traditional way, I wouldn’t recommend it.
I wanna get my right lower leg redone. I had it done well over 15 years ago & its ugly now ( rose on a vine around lower calf). Now,i am type 1 diabetic & have been for 30+ years so all my tatts wer3 done during my diabetes. Healing was never a problem, altho the lowet leg did take time as u said with ANY lower leg tatt. So here i am now, & i do have diabetic circulation problems in my legs. But i also have ugly scars & dark marks & skin discoloration on my calf right above and below my old tatt. I really wanna cover it all up & get it done over so i dont feel so self conscious bout my legs scars. Would it be a bad idea to do the tatt work being that i have these circulation issues NOW that i didn't have 15 years ago? Im kinda worried it wont heal this time around. 😮
I wouldn’t think it would heal any type of way. People cover up scars with tattoos all the time so it’s nothing new. I’d recommend touching on this with your artist as well to get his input.
How long did your back calve take to heal? Mine started peeling around 5-7 days and peeled AGGRESSIVELY I could not stop the peels from coming off during washes or while at work with my pants rubbing on it. But now at 2 weeks while my tattoo peeled alot. The ditch peeled first then the whole middle calve then now finally at about nearly two weeks to 2 week mark my ankle area is still a little peely, or it might just be dead skin that/dry skin. I'm not 100% sure. Mt biggest question is; Is it normal for it to still be a little wrinkly and shiny after it has peeled even at the 2 and a half week mark?
I would suggest getting the tattoo but using the saniderm option because it will help protect your tattoo while you’re working while healing in at the same time
