Well David that was a textbook class in how to perform a Check Flight. It was conveyed in a clear and precise manner that comes from a very skilled instructor. It also will be used by many microlight pilots to watch and hone there skills especially after this long shutdown. So on behalf of my fellow aviators ,thank you.
Never fails to impress me, the smoothness and control these instructors show is beautiful. Man and machine Completely at one and in sync with each other, love watching an expert at work with his tools in any trade( obviously flying the best one tho!)
Hi Ben, that was definitely a 2 brew video. It's always good to see different sides of the testing. I always wondered if it had aileron trim, now I know where it is. I did like the comment.."And nothing fell off".
Very interesting and informative video guys👍. Random question, but I’m after a decent watch for my flying, I noticed David used his, any recommendations welcome 🙏
Hi, A mate of mine uses a Casio SGW-1000-1AER, good value, ideal for cash strapped microlight pilots LOL! They can be had for as little as £80-£85.00. Compass equipped etc. www.google.com/url?q=www.casio.co.uk/products/timepieces/sports-gear/product/%3Fv%3DSGW-1000-1AER&sa=U&ved=2ahUKEwik84nxlOTqAhXRQEEAHeRiBbAQFjAAegQICRAB&usg=AOvVaw3O8Mevz11BFfL-NWym0gfo
Great video , superb advert for the sport. The max vne cruise was interesting - some vibration and minor chattering evident , not sure if that was the airframe or David's teeth working loose 😁 Didn't realise the Sky Ranger had aileron trim .
There was a test flying handbook document that stated it which is with the paperwork on bmaa website. I'd just done mine before lockdown so I wasn't aware of the relaxation of the requirement.
@@seanmcdonald9727 bmma form aw011a check flying schedule page 2 of 2 item is actual take of weight , says within 20kgs of mauw. It's issue 7a when I did mine early in year. As Ben says may have been relaxed during lockdown.
