Excellent video. I know this was four years ago abd you will have a lot more experience now but I would say those landings were a ling way down the runway. A lot of microlight airfields have short runways. I learned to fly at Barton on its grass strips. I'd aim for the numbers with a touch down half way to the first jet marks. But that's just me.
@@BenAtkinsonVideos have you stopped flying or just stopped videos. You were an inspiration to me flying and I really enjoy your videos. I passed my NPPL 6 months before COVID and am thinking of returning to flying again, hence looking back at an older video…
Thanks very much for the kind words. So much of life got in the way and I’m not currently flying but it’s a dream hobby and I’ll be back, one day. Thank you!
I wonder the same thing, the tundra V3 has been released, with the same engine as the v2, and 4S batteries are recommended. Today I check if the ESC supports 4S and I will try.
Hey Ben, are you planning on doing any videos soon? I am currently doing my NPPL training and what an absolutely incredible adventure and experience it has been, definitely something to share!
Great flight. My only niggling comment is that I assume you had already completed early Solo's as you were learning cross country. For me, you were asking the instructor too many questions I.e. shall I turn here.
Excellent coverage of Ben and David with student and instructor patter. Pleasure to see attitude flying emphasis and simple reference for example "top of white arc" speed in the climb out.
Hi Ben. I am currently learning to fly the C42 out of Popham. This has been a long time coming and is a natural progression from flying as a passenger with my dad. I'm thoroughly enjoying your videos and long to be flying into Compton Abbas my favourite airfield. Thank you for making these videos thay are a great help and a little addictive.
Hi Ben. Hope you're well. Love the vlog it's been an insperation. I have just started learning with DY.. lesson 2, coming up soon, was thinking about filming it as lesson 1 went so quickly. Hope to see more of your videos soon. Al.
I think the EV-97 has a lot going for it. It has sweet handling. It's well built. Everything you need to check prior to flying has easy access. The canopy gives excellent all round visibility to the extent that if you can't keep a good look out in it you shouldn't be flying. My only complaint is that the trim control could do with being a bit less sensitive.
So, how do you like flying the C42? I have been thinking about buying one but the stick, flap and throttle locations seem a bit odd. I've been trying to grow a third arm on my right side but so far it's not working. 😉
