thank you very much for this tip! i've had my car for 4 years and it's been 3 years that i've had this problem! I adjusted the whole thing and no more problems 👌 and now, it's been a week that no gears would go in after driving a bit! I'm glad I came across your video! Thanks a lot!
Thank you very much I was just about to order a new clutch$ 1300 or even other transmission. That cost around $2500 and thanks to you video I solve my problem and save a bunch of 💰 again thank you.🙏👍🏽
Heck yeah brother I'm Glad that fix the issue! I just made another update video on the same clutch adjustment cause 2 & 3rd were a no go on high revs.....and I rip it at the end lol Glad this fixed it bro 💪💪💪 Adjustment: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BfaV57xXuGo.html
So glad I watched this, I thought it was my slave cylinders, clutch etc and my shop told me a new clutch but I just knew it wasn’t because it still engaged properly and never slipped. Now I don’t have to slam my clutch pedal to the floor just to hopefully get it in gear. Thank you for this video 💯
thanks for the help, i installed a ktuned slave cyl and cmc and had a starter system and hill assist message pop up, turns out i need to adjust the clutch pedal free play
This helps with 2nd 3rd ger grinds and pop outs......I think what ur talking a about is when releasing the pedal it creaks right?....I've Sprayed wd40 on the cmc rod, press in the pedal spray it again , spray the clutch bracket and theirs a spring on it too...put a rag under the pedal to catch all the excessive wd40.....press in the clutch by hand back and forth and spray the rod again... This has helped with the creaks... and when it comes back repeat.
I feel like my clutch isn’t all the way out but I need this adjustment because it’s not grabbing and struggles to get into gears currently stranded lol
A regular 12 wrench seems to fit in the Si, but there's no way to get it in there on the 9th gen 1.8 Sport, might have to cut the wrench in half to actually do the job. You're spinning the cylinder rod without removing the bit that holds it attached to the pedal, right?
Clockwise will make the rod go down into the CMC, counter clockwise we'll make it go up towards the clutch pedal. Making it go towards the clutch "longer" pushes more on the clutch to Disengage the flywheel...the less the less it disengages the flywheel.... You want to have the engagement point at least 2" when you come off the ground
It can possibly help, how far is you're clutch engagement? Is it as soon as you lift? Or does it grab up higher? It should grab about 1-2 inches after you lift so it can fully disengage the clutch
@@559powerscapeHow did you adjust the rod? For me it’s so hard especially at this angle. even with pliers. I was able to change the peddle height but not the bite point.
Thanks so much for the video !!! I just did this yesterday ! It was hot as fuck and now my back hurts 😂 however…. I didnt touch the 17mm nut or the clutch switch …. I only loosened the 12mm nut and adjusted the little rod for the clutch travel …. 100% solved my problem….. Do you think this is done on purpose from factory as programmed obsolescence ??? Because a lot of 8th and 9th gens have this problem of hard shifting or grinding and everybody always says its the clutch thats fried ?????
@@559powerscape Update: Yes I made adjustments same concept...I however lowered my pedal to have a comfortable dump, its all about what feels good on the ankle. Took it for a test run and instant satisfaction...there was no chance I would stall out on 1st as easy. Acuity shifter and bushings feel good also.
Dude, there is NO WAY that this will fix the issue of not going into gear! After searching all the forums, and contacting pro shops, only to be told that the clutch is out, even though there has never been an instance of slippage from it....... I'm attempting this now. Will follow up in a couple hours at most.....
Have you replaced slave cylinder? Had mine not shift at all like found or even put it in gear period without slamming it into the gear. Fixed with a stagers slave Cylinder. This adjustment will fix where the clutch hits on the petal not fix if it’ll change entire gears
