I bring an excellent skill of picking up food at the grocery store for goody table. And I love to read stories to children and get their attention even when the kids are having a distracted day.
I would pick the pool noodle! That way I can reach out and smack a kid! Ops, did I say that out loud. I mean I can use it as a safety device in the classroom.
I just found out that I could be a great teacher! I spent over $500 out of pocket for materials school Christmas project ! I take directions well and I have a pool noodle personality I bend don’t break letting me float past office politics! Am I hired?
Chat up the surcretury (trying). She is the most important person in the school. It was about to rain, I came back in, said someone left the windows down. It was the secretary...got the job. Always, always chat up the secretary.
This was my interview for a para position. Also had to submit a lesson plan in the target language. Interview committee had native speakers for the two questions in target language.
Did I mention it was 9 people and included a parent. The parent saw my resume and asked her connections around town about me. Then she tried to diss me to the committee. I still got the job! In your face, nasty mom!!
All that for para pay?! No diss here because I’m a para, too, in the State of MO and know how low the wages are. We joke that if there was an organizational chart for our school, we would be one level above the recess cart! LOL Thank you for doing a tough job! 💐
I hate i missed your video that you posted one day ago. Even though I missed it yesterday!!! I didn't even realize that you had posted a video yesterday.
Negative because I’ve had several high up people tell me they wouldn’t pay the extra money for the higher degree and it’s not possible for me to agree to lower pay. I did get hired for two years but was one of many teachers they let go because of major money issues in the district. You know, $9 million in the hole kind of money issues. I’m an auxiliary teacher. Probably all I’ll ever be. People love me. But the local boards are looking for cheap hires. And yes, I’d have to relocate. Probably pretty far away. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in a classroom and I’m teaching and I love my babies and what I do. If it weren’t for the tiny paycheck and the stress to survive on it id be satisfied with any position. I just want to teach. Anyway....shouldn’t be sad at all. I have a job. And I get to do some teaching. 😊 Just gets frustrating year after year.
@@KV-mz8ro There are a lot of jobs in inner city schools. My city has a difficult time keeping teachers in several areas of the city, because of the violent behavior.
I totally got set up in a teaching interview a few years back with “if I called your last principal, what would she say about you?” I later found out she was best friends with her, so she already knew what that answer was...🤦🏼♂️
Cream 😳 c o r n🤢🙀 🤮🤮🤮 It’s OK. I was “only a lunch lady“, back in the 90s. I certainly do not have a teaching degree. But, my daughter does! Special Education middle school math. This mom is proud. And, I must leave it at that ✌🏻
