Bro instead of analysing Alpha & Beta separately you can just use the treynor ratio. It gives you excess return your investment has earned over market return for every unit of Beta. Higher the Treynor ratio better it is. Basically Alpha divided by Beta is Treynor ratio Anyways treynor was not able to conclude his theorem the way you concluded this video. I think it's not a good way to pick stocks for the long term because it's based on only price movement, which is generally used for short term investing. The financials of the company should be used for long term investment decision.

US and India are the only economies who are beating the slowdown and they are the ones we are invested in. US tech sector and India's all sectors will give unprecedented returns over next 30 years. China will make a come back in a year. The best days of the world are ahead as we are standing at the crusp of a technological revolution no one can even imagine. The world has enough history, system, laws and smart people to stop robots from taking over so lets keep that argument to rest :) We will be doing a minimum 18% annualized return on Indian multicap and a 25% annualized return on US tech sector. China tech and automobile could outperform US too in the long run. Europe, Canada, Australia, Russia, Middle East world will lag behind a little due to reconfiguration of the world. South America, US, Africa and Asia will lead. There will be hiccups ofcourse. There always are. Lets just call them opportunities and enjoy the journey :)

Ankur Sir this analysis and idea of filtering is purely based on price movement of stocks and index which is not the right way to see it if you consider a stock as asset if anybody invests only on these basis they are doing the same what the traders are doing

@10:45 could not get this... Once if alpha is 11%, u said that the stock would beat the market by 11%, on the other hand, if the beta of the stock is 1.2%, u mentioned the same stock would beat the market by 6%! how alpha and beta indicates such contrast growth of the stock!
