It’s late spring… summer is hurrying to arrive so it seems. The weather has been hot these days. Spring is so delightful with the tulips, daffodils and alliums blooming. There were colorful hyacinths as well. Cheer and beauty came early even before the snow melted completely.
The roses have a lovely scent and ever so romantic blooms. Bright sun and warm days makes the flowers remarkable. And so summer must come without delay. Though we say goodbye to the final spring blooms in the garden - the Angelique tulips - we look forward to the beginning of rose blooms.
New rose bushes has been added to the garden this year. I was in a hunt for cocktail roses ever since I met them last year at a friend’s garden. She was so in love with these roses that she purchased three bushes for her garden. I was also smitten - love at first sight. At the closing of winter, I was at the edge of my seat constantly awaiting the garden centers to open. Magnolias and cocktail roses were on my list. In the search, I came across many other delightfully beautiful, some so dramatic, varieties of roses. In the end, 27 new roses will make a mini rose garden in our home garden this year. I hope that you enjoy these videos and stay tuned for a parade of lovely Rose blooms.
