Thanks justin i tilled this for the first time last year and had 11 yards of composted cow manure dumped and then mulched it all winter with leaves and grass clippings and this is was I got this year. Thanks for stopping by!!!
Looks awesome! I was going to be a smartass and ask you about those support sticks to hold the plants up, but then I looked more carefully! Hahahahah! Beautiful job as always my friend!
I do the same but plant them on an angle almost 45% . I found planting them deep vertical is great too but the roots mass was still just below the plant compared to a an angled planting. They do grow vertical and have a much longer root base. Try one and see how you make out. Nice healthy plants you have there. Cheers
A couple of years ago I threw in hen pellets. Trying to cut down on what I buy as I grow on an allotment...don't own the land on which I plant. Like your method tho. Looking forward to seeing the progress :)
This is a pretty cheap method, you don't have to add compost and fertilizer to the whole lot just the planting hole. I'll be doing some garden updates, thanks for stopping by and Happy gardening
