John Lord and rotoath garden centre. If you keep making videos of this quality in a couple of years ye will be RU-vid sensations making as much from this channel as from your garden centre. John you have a wonderful enthusiastic personality with a quirky and different way of presenting your videos with brilliant content. Thanks for all the help these videos give me

I totally agree, John is a breath of fresh air! He's so down to earth and everything is 100mph. I love that he doesn't take things too seriously but certainly knows his stuff! 👍😃

John any recommendations on some plants to go under my silver birch trees in full shade!!
@johnlordssecretgarden

Lots of plants do well in light birch shade, such as evergreen ferns for foliage. Good herbaceous plants include, Thalictrum aqualigifolium, derivatives of Geranium walicianum such as Rozanne, Helliborus orientalis types, Brunnera 'looking glass' and similar, really good, Dicentra formosa types are good early flowerers and rogersias are always great particularly on heavy soil. I could go on and on.

I never realised that plants have to ‘recover their dignity’ over a week or two! 🤣
