Thanks. You are right. I changed my front tires after this video. The dip at the edge of the rim was indeed damaged.

Hi, Just checked the link, it works for me. try search "Plastidip Pearl Red" in Google. It lasts for me more than 2 years now, still good. just dont do it if you know you are getting a tire change. the tire change will damage the edges.

Good point! The edges of the nuts will be scratched a bit even if I loose/tight them very carefully. However, it is not noticeable (at least for my color) unless one looks at it very closely.

@@dannythewildcard1026 looks great. How long to dry between each spraying? How many cans of black and gloss needed if I want glossy black? With this method of not removing the wheel, did you accidentally get any plasti dip on the inside brake rotor etc?

@@allboutthemojo Thanks, I would wait for at least 10 mins before each coating. Dipyourcar channel should have more details and advice on the process. for my 18 inch wheels, i can get all four wheels with 3 cans of black. 2 cans of gloss would be good enough. I tried to cover everything inside with plastic bags. just need to be careful...unfortunately, i did spray a bit into the rotor hub. lol

@@dannythewildcard1026 does that do permanent damage to the rotors if you get some on it?

@@allboutthemojo i wouldn't want anything go between my brake pad and rotor (safety reasons), so I suggest to use a damp cloth to wipe it out before it's dried. Check around the rotor after you are done spraying. would be easy to peel off and clean. However, i dont think this paint will damage the metal rotor from material point of view.

That's a tough question. In my opinion, it might be too patchy. I'd suggest you to test it out on a smaller area. If you ever do it, let me know how it goes. :) Thanks!

Keep It Real Absolutely, plasti dip is known for easy pealing. In fact, I put one rim back to original easily after changing tire (tire changing does damage the plasti dip on the edge of the rim).

Keep It Real no problem. I think CDs performs better and also more fuel efficient. But reliability might be a concern if you are not leasing it.
